Interlagos - Brazilian Grand Prix 2009 - Race 16/17

I would go closer to the times list than that one.

Mansells personality out of the cockpit has zero to do with his ability on the track. He gave Senna a run for his money on many occasions! He was a racer, not a win at all costs cheat like some more recent champions and for unknown reason, respected drivers.

I think Lewis should be quite high on that list and certainly above Damon, Jenson and Mike Hawthorn purely due to how long he'd been in the sport and the age at which he won his championship. Not to mention that he nearly won the championship in first season racing.

He nearly won it in his first season because he was in one of the best, if not the best car. I'd put Damon above him purely because we won in the williams, Jordan and got within 2 miles of a win in an arrows.

Where as Hamilton in a car that wasn't the best at the start of the year almost sounded like he was giving up and his performances where less than noticable if he wasn't the current world champion.

Hamiltons problem for next year is how many sets of tyres he eats through on full fuel loads. He will not be able to carry on driving as he has, no one will that has a car moving around a lot.

.

Despite getting that heap of junk car into the points on several occasions. What rubbish.

Says nothing about rating them on track ability alone.
I've taken everything into account. Including the fact that I just never liked him - Even when he was at Lotus... And thats painful to say.

Hence Hunt being rated higher. :D

that Golden spoon McLaren gave him kind of puts a different perspective on that dont you think?

He undoubtedly did very well without a doubt - but both Damon and Jenson both had to work at getting decent cars without beign gifted them their 1st season (and in Damon's case was a clear no 2 in the team)

Brundle is awesome. I'd just like someone better with him. Davidson would be nice.

F1 fans always whinge about the commentators, It must be about as tough a commentating job as there is. Watching reems of different data, while watching the track and talking to millions at the same time.

F1 fans slated Murray, then Allen and now Leggard is getting the Allen treatment.

Murry was funny, he might of been wrong a lot. But he was entertaining and had bags of personality. which more than made up for it and that is what made him great and R5L who ever it is with Davison is just perfection.
