The next time we go out for people (which is inevitably soon) I'll let you know, will need a CV from you and that's about it - I'll do it as a recommend a friend so

a) you get contracted by Lloyds (not agency, though you do start with REED mainly because it gets you in quicker)

and

b) I get money once you complete 3 + 9 months! :)

Call Centre work at just shy of £15K (I think £14,723 is starting) - but it is money, and a starting point!

I know you mean well, but I find your post somewhat insulting. I'm not an idiot, and I don't need a lesson in social interaction.

You do not have the answers when you do not understand the situation, so try to be a little less brash next time.

Sorry mate, I honestly didn't want to be insulting and its very generic advice whilst trying to insight some postive feelings. I know you're not stupid from the way in which you post. No hard feelings?

I can understand your situation and I feel that if I had left University and came back without my Mrs things I could imagine myself being in a similar boat.

I don't know your circumstances which is true, but keep your chin up mate, life has its ups and downs and I rekon it could just be a matter of time before the tides turn for you.

All that can be sum up in

True, but then I would come across as insulting the guys on here who are doing what they can to get out of their specific situation.

With regards asking a girl out from work, that would be different because you have to see her everyday and I would baulk at the idea of having to do that :) At the same time, what do you REALLY have to lose?

If you think she is worth it, why the **** not? :) Good on you!

Good luck to the rest of you guys/gals who are trying to meet someone, anything can happen and this thread is certainly proof of that!!!

Fingers crossed! its difficult finding a guy who wants the same future as me but i'm still putting myself out there lol (not like that!)

Well, despite we work together...

1 - My heart is with someone else at the moment....bit complicated and messy
2 - Girl at work is (no doubt) a really nice girl and pretty to boot

Because of point number 1 is why i haven't made a move........yet i really should because i half feel i am just delaying things and making excuses.

You'd be defying the laws of probability and chance meeting a girl you get on with, find attractive, have things in common, etc at one of these places. Although not impossible and better than no where!
Lolwut? At least there are a ton of girls in one place, so you start of with the attractive ones (that box ticked), then you get to know them after :p

Surely has to be better than spending ages getting to know someone, then finding out they aren't attractive, that's all backwards :p

*edit*

Nix, why not take a gamble, find some ***** houseshare in London and move there? Tons of jobs, tons of totty, tons of fun - you can't lose :p

Mate, I've applied to Lloyds on around three seperate occassions through the agencies - I never hear back! Seriously, if you can swing me an interview, I'd be there in a shot!

Work is work at the moment. Literally, I'm in limbo until I start earning. I want my life back! :p

I used to manage Natwest @ rbs in southend card centre. If you want I can have a word with a few mates who still work and head up their teams?
