That must drive you insane. It's driven me insane to the point that I'm now just saying sod it and spending a small fortune on petrol to drive the 360 mile round trip 3-4 times a month. And I've only had to do it since she left Uni 14 months ago.

How do you manage it? Even financially?

When I was doing the long distance relationship I went to buy a diesel and we broke up soon after (not because of the car). :D

It's about £100 a month I reckon for two trips and she'll fund the rest. If I'm going for more than a day or two I can use the train at £35 if I fancy a break from driving as well, but it takes 5 hours so more often than not I just drive. It's not for ever, just for a year or so until we get ourselves into a position to do something permanent about it.

I never wanted an LDR but you dont think about these things when you meet somebody at Uni. And of course by the time she went home a few years later there was absolutely no question of doing anything but doing things long distance :)

Tried it, recently got ended after 4years+

It was very hard at times :(

I think my next GF (if anyone else wants me :p ) will have to live local.

Not nice but at least i wont bump into her when im out i suppose.

It is hard but we are coping very well. When we see each other its for a week and a half - two weeks. Where we will spend every hour of the day together basically.
 
Just got back from this, she was actually stunning, better then she looked in her pics, which was a nice suprise, no pauses or gaps, talking all night, whether there was anything more there im unsure, hug and kiss on the cheek at the end of the night, the test will be to see if she replies to my text about safe journey.

Glad it went well. :)

have 3rd date with FF tomorrow. Weird thinking i'm not nervous as normally with anyone else I probably would be but I'm not with him. :)

Although I still hope it goes well lol

although im really tired at the moment so i think i'm making a bit of a prat of myself on msn (doesn't help when i have things on my mind :()

im such an idiot!
