I would never use a dating site to purposely seek out my soulmate. I did meet her on the internet though as a friend and being going strong for 3.5 years now.
 
Yep, I think its a fake profile too. Bad spelling/grammar and 'mom'.. the American way of saying 'mother'..?

For those on plentyoffail, if someone views your profile but doesn't send you a message (assuming you didn't send a message to them first), do you send them a message (after reading/seeing their profile)?

match.con and meetic are the biggest pay sites.

I think you should try harder on plentyoffail as there are plenty of active people on there compared to the rest.. and your wallet isn't going to complain :D

Not by default but if I like the look of them then yes.
 
I don't even mention that I've noticed they've looked at my profile. If they ask I'd say something like. "I don't check that very often. I was doing a search and you stood" etc.

Plausible deniability. Plus it's doesn't give them a head start thinking you're chasing them ;)

I always used to tease them about spying on me, if they didn't leave a message I'd mock them for "being intimidated by my good looks" it's just some fun and banter, keeps things cheery instead of "hi you looked at me and now I'm looking at you and so I feel we should start talking and am I boring you yet?"
if it doesn't work, then they either weren't interested to begin with, or they have no sense of humour, in which case they'd certainly not be my type :)
 
I can't believe how shallow people really are!!
On the old account I had hardly any emails and when I did make an effort to write something meaningful, all I got for my trouble was "READ DELETED".
I haven't changed my writing style nor have I made anything up.

Start a new account with one good close up pic but with a set of raybans on and a bit of a suntan (maybe a subliminal message in there as well that might be helping I dunno) and I can't keep up with who is who..

I went out with the hottest 39 year old ever on Friday and am definitely looking forward to where it may lead! She was just a random in pub one night many months ago that I made a comment on her nearly falling on her ass, then I spotted her on POF.
 
My sister apparently had a go at this online dating lark, the first guy aparently said he was over 6ft and after meeting him, she described him as more like a "dwarf". The second guy claimed to like "doing loads of sports" and turned out he didn't do any sports and in fact didn't even like watching any sports!

Why do these people even bother lying!
