I remember one in Evesham, sat on her sofa watching a movie... (first date)
Hand starts wandering.. and she comes out with "Your keen" LOLOL
Like she just invited me round for coffee and biscuits!

lmao haha

wow this is very depressing, isnt this meant to be a pro internet dating thread lol :D

Met my current girlfriend on Mingleville and we've been together nearly 3.5 years. Don't see it is a 'geeky way' or a way for someone without confidence to find someone, I actually think it's better than meeting some random in a club.

SO many fat ones on POF, it's disgusting! Hardly anyone replies to messages as well

lol :(. Only been using it for a few days though.

I joined pof a few months back, had a couple of decent dates but never really felt like I wanted to meet up with them again. Just the other week I got an email from an extremely hot looking girl and we sent a few emails back and forward and just seemed to click, arranged to meet up on Sunday night just there and had the most awesome night ever, met up at 7 in the evening, went to a decent bar with good music, plonked on a big comfy couch and just chatted and had a laugh right through til 3am. I went home with a sore face from having laughed so much. We even arranged to meet up the next night too and had another brilliant night.

By far two of the best dates I've ever been on so internet dating gets a huuuuuuuge thumbs up from me.

Wow that's great to hear man! :D You must be really lucky too, things like that don't happen often from what I've read haha.

What a nightmare of a date I had yesterday! She really really really liked me after a few hours and on the way home I had 3 texts and 8 missed calls from her inviting me in for a coffe. Trying to do dirty things to me, walking her back to hers.

Pyscho alert!

I paid for the lot too - never again.

You did the right thing mate. If it isn't right, then don't go for it.

I don't condone the whole one night stand thing, never seemed quite right to me :)

OMG

A girl added me as a favorite last night, and sent me messages and how I had the perfect profile and seemed really keen, so I replied with a nice message, I woke up this morning, logged in and see she had sent me another message and asked if we could talk on MSN...

So we did, it started off pretty much the usual what do u like and what do u do etc, then it started getting a bit more personal and asking about my ex girlfriends etc, why we broke up, did I really love her etc

Nothing to strange there i felt, as I answered the questions - then she said "Cool, At least I know how you feel, that you can talk to a complete stranger, and not your gf, sorry ex-gf"

At that point, I stopped and re-read our convo...

Argh, it was my Ex-gf!!!!!!! Stalking, spying etc!!! horrible!!! What was she doing???

I actually thought this was genuine.

Couldnt believe it! But as I did re-read the convo, it should have been so obvious! Little traits that I kno she used to type etc.

Im off for some beers to get drunk :(

I present to you yet another nutcase the single male population could do without.
What was she thinking!!
don't answer that.... it's too bloody complicated to understand

Could have been she was after that Americanism 'closure' where it was a sneaky way to go about it. Glad I'm not on any social networking or dating site as I think my ex would do this. Not so long ago I received emails from her with single word subjects like 'Hello' and 'Damn'. Turned out she was using a service to check whether I had blocked her on MSN, again sneaky.

I kind of agree with the idea of closure (not the term though). I think at the end of a relationship you should clear up any unfinished business in order to be clear in your mind why the relationship failed and be ready for another one. Kind of be aware of the problems with the other person or with oneself so that they are not dragged into the next relationship, e.g. picking the same type of person or having issues.

More often than not one can get this from inside by reflecting on the relationship. You should not elicit it in this way from the other person, it's sneaky and you would do well to steer clear of her.

That said, you did okay in my opinion given her last response so do not think you have anything to worry about (have a beer for that).
