Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Didn't work for me, but that's because I'm picky and would rather stay single than be with someone I'm not 100% happy with.

I first signed up to PoF in Feb last year I think, but had no success. The guys I met were either just looking for fun, or they were clingy and had insecurity issues :o

Yup, if they feel wrong at the start then it's happier being single.

This doesn't include one that I like turns out to be a lesbian. (I seem to have a knack of finding them)

If it's any consolation, I've befriended and dated 2 girls who turned out to be lesbian.

If I was paranoid I'd say it was my fault. But I refuse to do so. :p

I think I am ahead to you by one, the one above is the 3rd in my life, so far. :D

One of them is still one of my best friends. :D

But yeah it's so frustrating. First time, I actually cried because I thought i'd found my soulmate and was completely gutted. I'm obviously much more alpha these days.

**** yeah.

Yup, one of them is one of my best friends (actually i think she knows me best) and I swear she is my soulmate lol We have sooooo much in common (can talk and talk for hours and hours), even say we love each other but she likes girls.....so, may be next life perhaps.

Glad i met her though, rather than not have.

Shh, you're not supposed to tell everyone you cried. Men don't cry :p

Woke up with a splitting headache :(, but went anyway!. Got stuck in really bad traffic for ages in dartford tunnel, when i turned up and called to make sure i was at the right place. This lady got out that was dressed like a gypsy, don't get me wrong she was far from untidy but her weight.... She was overweight, in about a year or less she's really put on the pounds!. I guess the reason for the dress was to hide the weight? :p

Had a good day though even with my bad head, we went for dinner and she cleared the plate only to have lots of coke, and say " I need cake, lets go for cake ". I was more interested in exploring the town, enjoying the lovely weather rather than constantly wanting food. Before or after we'd eaten!.

I'm happy with the way i am she says, i'm happy in myself now even though i can't fit in my jeans anymore. This was after i was talking about me quiting the gym ages ago, do enough walking as it is :D

So yeh Nice girl, lovely personality but i don't see her as GF material for me, too much extra poundage and well she does look the older woman.

"OOOh I do like a bit o' cake!"
Exactly what I thought as well! :D

The last date I had, the guy made ME open and hold the door open for him whilst he casually walked through. Now I know that sounds petty, but I normally hate it when people walk through doors that I've left open for them with the attitude 'so you should'.. I think it's such an ungentlemanly thing to do :p

Aha, it really bugs me when people don't say thanks when you hold a door. I've started saying "You're welcome" in a really sarcastic tone now if they do it.

I cannot be arsed to read alllll of these pages. But a quick question, has this worked for anyone here?

Yep. I wouldn't do it again though as I prefer snaring them in real life, but simply had to give this internet thing ago after I came out of my last relationship.

But yea, met a lovely girl on line and we've become quite close.
