Women who are even of average attractiveness can basically act like berks and still pick and choose a guy from a large pool of candidates.

Basically women will always get chatted up, no matter what.

Guys normally have to make the first move too, so if you're shy, not amazing looking, and a bit of a berk, you're not going to get anywhere are you.

So for some guys, just being who they are means they'll stay single.

Right, I've had enough. I've decided that this time, I'm really going to make an effort this this online dating business.

I reread my profile and realised how crap it was; nothing really about me, just really generic and boring; so I've rewritten the whole thing, interests, pictures and all.

What do you guys think (PoF)? Do I stand a chance?

Maybe it's the way you ask or the people you ask.

I think any woman who has a serious issue with getting asked her age is a tit. Flirtatious reluctance to reveal it can be good but just for a bit of fun.

It's pretty generic, a lot of guys could write almost the same thing. It doesn't make you seem that unique or interesting. Which I am sure you are!! Thing some more.... maybe take a risk and say something controversial.
 
Christ, only been on PoF for less than a day and got 3 dates already and numerous numbers, quite scary at the same time as ive not been on any dates for almost 8 years, i just know ill balls them up within 2 mins of talking :(.

It's not as common as you think. I very rarely get chatted up and when I do it's usually someone very very drunk.

Although saying that I did have one man shove his tongue down my throat, wasn't pleasant and had to have my friend Tom pretend to be my boyfriend to save me :p
