I think men in general are just confused... and selfish. They do as they please, only care about what feels good at the time, don't bother thinking about consequences or consider other peoples feelings.

And how do I re-evaluate the type of guys I go for? Are you trying to say good looking guys are ****s in general? I don't know if a guy is a **** until I get to know them a bit more. It's not always easy to tell whether a guy is being nice just to get down my knickers or whether they're genuinely nice because they want to be with me.
Agree 100% with you. Looks are essential, and while there are good looking guys who are ****s... there are many who are nice guys. Stick with it and dont drop your standards just because some of them might turn out to be idiots... its no different for us guys when searching out good looking women.

The only way to combat that is to be strong and not sleep with them for as long as possible, and find out as much about them as you can first. Also be clear from the start that nothing is going to happen until you're comfortable... the douches will likely not call you again, the semi-douches will persevere for a couple of weeks, and the nice guys will carry on dating.

Used to happen a lot to me as a young buck but with time and maturity both parties know what to expect.
Having said that, I got burnt badly by a woman who solely wanted to be in my pants
