Now this is just WIN!

I just got a mail from BeautifulPeople.net, I totally forgot that I signed up and got in back in 2005! So I log on to my account have have a few messages from a variety of hot ladies :D

A couple even had cool profiles, and don't seem stuck or anything, so I've fired off 3 messages this morning, haha

The girlfriend and I attended a "beautiful people" night in a club once. Everyone in it seemed to be arrogant and vain. Ironic of me, obviously, to paint and entire club with one brush then call *them* arrogant, but of course i didnt have time to meet everyone in it.

I don't think I'd bother with the social events for that very reason, plus I'd wager the male alpha-posturing must be really bad, hehe.

This is why I'm looking out for profiles where they are silly and can make fun of themselves, means they are less likely to be smarmy.

Some are stupidly hot though!

She also grew up in Cape Town and now lives in London :D

She just has a lovely profile and sounds like a nice person

I had my third date on Saturday... was a complete waste of time and money. Barely anything in common and just didn't gel... which just goes to show you can't judge people form their messages etc as the real-life persona can be completely different.

I think i'm giving up on POF now and going back to "regular" dating... besides i'm off to Switzerland for 6 months in October so not much point carrying on with this now.

Pah.

Was that the fit dancer/musician?

Hook a brotha up, seeing as you will no longer be my POF wing-man ;)

I met my fiancee via the web. Well, via WoW to be precise.
She's Finnish and she made the move to the UK to live with me last year. She had a 3 year old who is now my adoptive daughter. We're working on baby number 2 at the moment and will be getting married early next year.

True love can be found on the web.

Was it love at first sprite?

Seriously though good on ya ;)

Heh not sure she'd be your type either mate... she doesn't go out! Hates clubs etc etc.

Anyway when I get back from Switz and move to London we'll have to meet up for a drink and see if we can charm a few ladies out and about somewhere. ;)

I lol'd. :o

Ok I have just split from my engaged partner recently and want to get out there back on the scene. If I sit around too long I will just end up feeling bad. I signed up to POF last week and have had some replies but nothing that sound promising so I have tried to update my profile and explain what I am looking for. This isn't something I would normally do but I wanted a second opinion on my profile, try and make it constructive criticism at least :)

Just my opinion mate but take all the self pity stuff about your previous relationship. You seem to be looking for "the one" but say you only want to hang out in your profile? I'd tone it down a bit so you don't come off as needy. Also the bit "depends what you want" with regards to first date, just take that out and tell them what you want.

I'm no expert so you don't have to listen to me but you did want opinions.

1.I would delete all the first two paragraphs for a start.
2.As the previous poster said, change the "hang out" to "dating".

lose this aswell from start of third paragraph

Anyway I guessed why sit around and be moody about it,

edit.
Having read it all I think you would be best to go back to the drawing board with it
I know you have probably put a lot of thought into writing it,but it is seriously wrong as far as dating profiles go.
Infact This is the only bit I would keep.

I have learnt a lot in the last couple of years and feel I can bring a lot to a relationship. I am an intelligent guy with an open outlook on life who just wants to find someone on the same wave length as myself. I am ready to start living my life again and am looking to enjoy it with someone at the same time. Is that someone you?
