Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I just updated it again, trying to make it sound more positive. Looking for any comments.

Cheers

My blunt comment: your profile is like a complete carbon clone of about twenty-three thousand four hundred and seventy three men on there... give or take a few. It contains no uniqueness or originality that will attract any women of note on the site, and looks like you couldn't be arsed to create a profile of meaning and so copied and pasted a standard dating site template that contained some of the most popular cliches in one convenient package.

(I'm not purposefully trying to be a git, i'm giving you an honest appraisal based on my experience with the sites).

If I was signed up on POF I'd probs write some about quirks I have.

Such as, the fact that when I use the microwave I turn it on and off 3 times and slam the door to make sure it's not going to turn back on in the night and blow up.

Then again, that is borderline crazy I suppose. :D

Yea umm that's the last thing I'd be writing on there, making myself look a crackpot isn't going to win me any ladies :D

hi DezUk - profile sounds ok to me. only a couple of things i would point out (and you may think this is silly) but the first is that you've spelt restaurant wrong. I was reading an article about internet dating the other day and one of the profile tips was making sure everythings spelt correctly. (i know, probably a typical woman thing to say!)

the other is the below comment about playing hard

I work hard and play hard but you won’t know how hard unless you want to find out

obviously i dont know what kind relationship you are looking for but normally when ive had a guy say that to me at first i've thought nothing of it but then eventually found that they are a bit of a player.

like i said i dont know what you're looking for and im not making judgements just thought id let you know how it can read to some people. i would just keep it as "i work hard and play hard"

Hey thanks for the advice. I did type it up late last night so I'll blame the dodgy spelling on that ;)

She also grew up in Cape Town and now lives in London :D

Holy crap! What weird twist of fate!

I was supposed to be meeting someone for an unofficial pseudo-date, but delays on the tube meant I couldn't make it.

So I head back, slightly annoyed, and happen to find that the girl above mailed me back on BP.

Just been chatting to her on msn for the past 30 mins! :D

HOT! And really cool from what I can tell, very easy to talk to, and I don't generally chat to randoms in MSN. :)

Why am I single?

Everyone is single at some point, she split with a long term bf beginning of the year, so has been taking some time out :p

As for the catch? She doesn't currently live in London, but she is looking to move here soon.

Ah looking for a visa is she? ;)

Nah only kidding, and just to echo your earlier comments about Cape Town and clubbing... I worked there for about a year and Jo'burg and Cape Town certainly have their fair share of hotties
