Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Well, I hate it, but I am a little bit shallow. I'm also a little vain and think I'm a bit above average looking, so with the combination of the 2, I couldn't see myself going out with a large girl, although I do get annoyed by the smallest things aswell, so even if I tried, it would just constantly haggle me at the back of my mind.
I'm also wary because as I've been browsing the dating sites over the last week, I've see many, many girls who I think look fit on their profile pic, but then realise its just a dodgy angle
But I guess there's only 1 way to find out if shes attractive or not!

I met my current gf online but it wasn't through a dating site or anything. We talked for about 4 months before we met. Its going really well thus far we been together about a month now and it feels like we have known each other for ages.
I am normally quite rubbish around woman but there's been no awkwardness which is rare for me.
I think what helped us though was we was both honest with each other and we was our self's so when we met it was just like carrying on from online but just way better.

It's not like it's used instead of the "normal" ways of meeting people. (whatever normal is) its used in addition to the those ways, thereby increasing the likelihood of finding a match.
It's not like you go down the pub/club with a sign on you saying "single and looking" either.
Personally I use it because not many women actually cross my path in the work and social situations I partake in. I also hardly drink, so rarely ever go to pubs or clubs in the evening.

I'm a totally normal guy, above average socially, loads of different groups of mates, always going out clubbing and bars 3-4 times weekly. I also tend to pull most nights I'm out, by that, I mean getting with them in the club and getting number etc. getting them to come home with you is a whole different story
Like what Fuzz said, its just something on top of normal life, a bit of extra fun. I'm not looking for love, I'm a 2nd year student, I've decided I don't want a serious relationship for at least 2-3 more years, so it just gets me out meeting even more people, and its a bit more straightforward than trying to pull in clubs. I always find the girls in clubs are way too stuck up, due to so many men trying it on with them, so it just annoys me, but its all a game, so grab the dice and see what happens!
Well been chatting to a girl on there after sending out probbably 10 ish messages to girls based purely on if i liked the look of them or not, plenty of them got read, one or two read and deleted.

On the other hand the last one I dated a couple of times I had to let down gently (second date to tell her I wasn't that interested but we could still be good friends) Nice girl and all but laaaarge. It's no bother, why worry about if she's a fatty or not. If she's really nice you may be converted.
If not you can just say thanks but no thanks...

Not a fatty?! It means she's about 6 stone! She must be tiny!
Haha, apparently 6ft aswell! Although in her profile, from what I can see, she has fairly big.......eyes, so musn't (is this a word?) be that skinny! Either that or I'm going to be in for a surprise when I meet "her"

If she's 6 foot and 41kg then she's unhealthy skinny. Like... beyond anorexic. Something's not right there!

Maybe she mistyped and meant 190lbs instead of 90lbs
(I still have my fears of fatties!)Edit- Also on POF, I'm in conversation with a girl, who from the pictures looks fairly attractive, and shes told me what I want to hear, she was brought up in a family of guys so has a level 1 and 2 in mechanics! She also seems to be making the conversation, which never happens with these girls on these sites

What sites are everyone on then ? obviously POF but already finding that i have looked through / messaged any that i fancy the look of on there right now within an acceptable distance.. although weirdly enough one of the ones thats talking to me is just one that it said i should look at and is probably a bit over that.
