yeh but is reaaaaaally expensive......

...oh, does this then make me one of the chavs :o :(

haha I don't mean everyone on there is a chav, but from what I've seen on match profiles / photos it's very rare to see a chav stereotype!

Stereotypically..
Sex > POF
Relationship > Paid website

ah you see, I have 1 problem, 99% of the girls in this area are chavs. so wont matter which site I use, it will be 99% chav :( but then not even the chavs talk to me :p

+1

By paying for a dating website, it irradicates all chavs from your searches.

Somewhat. I started writing a profile for POF a year or two ago but there seemed to be a disproportionately large amount of single mums, fatties and dummies on there. If it's free it's going to attract a certain type as well.

In my 8 days on Match I've bumped into one chav who 'jst chnged my cheets nd i wnt u in them wiht me!!!!'. The 'block' feature is awesome. When I finally meet someone I like and want to date, I'll post all the replies and messages I got from women. Good spelling, all have jobs, normal looking, ambitious. A pleasure to communicate with.

Then, if you don't mind me asking mate, how are you going to date if you can't afford it? Dating costs money, that's just how it is. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it's still going to cost. No woman is going to be happy sitting at home watching movies (at first). If you're 18-20, then fine. Nobody has much that age. But at 25+, you have to stump up the pennies.

hmm........... I haven't fully thought this through. so, what you are saying is, because I don't have money, I am destined to be single forever :(

With match there's no way of telling who's a paid member so you could end up messaging 10 girls without a response - not because they didn't want to but because they needed to subscribe to read your message. I'd like to think smart people don't pay for dating sites, fact is chavs and morons exist on all sites.

Thats the reason why i didn't join match.com again, i was a member a year or so ago and sent some messages but you couldn't tell if the people you were sending them to could even read them. I mean i get some emails now saying that someone winked at me etc, and i was tempted to subscribe again so i could talk to them, but then again they wouldn't reply and i would think oh, they aren't into me, no actually they just haven't paid.

See I have had a different experience with Match. Women in my age bracket (27-34) are less inclined to mess around on Match. If they have a well written profile where obvious care was taken and thought put into, AND they have photos up, chances are they're a fully paid up member. No profile and one pic ... nope. Paradisiac, create a free profile on Match and do a little search in your area. See what comes up. Worth a try no?

Can't justify paying more than my internet costs me for a crappy website that does what exactly?

If people stopped paying for them they'd slowly die off.

yeh I did that, as well as cupid.co.uk (which I did pay for because it was about £5 or something during a promotion) but they all seem to be the same people on them all.
I think the problem is, this part of the county is mainly council estates and is full of single mums (which I'm not against on the whole).

Extremely interesting/weird date tonight. First of all, **** me, is she tall. I'm touching 6'3 and she was level with me. She's just over 6' with big ass heels. Eye level when I kissed her. First time it ever happened to me. Felt strangely emasculated. She had great fun calling me 'shorty'.

She was stunningly beautiful. From Finland and had the very blonde hair and blue-grey eyes thing going on. Model thin too. Conversation was so easy and laughs plenty full. First time I had a date where we constantly took the mick out of each other. Last place we went to we played a game to see who comes up with the most gruesome way to kill someone. So yea, weird.

But this is online dating, so it can't be completely perfect without the old hand grenade going off. She's in a long distance relationship ... And got lonely and wanted some male company. Although she swear it's pretty much over. Been like this for 2 years now, he abroad and her here. That took the wind out of the old sails a bit.

We ended up the night kissing and groping like teenagers on a bench in central. There was hints of me going to hers but gotta be up for work early tomorrow.

Said she wanted to see me again. Just makes me smile at how weird/confusing this is. Not sure what I'm going to do. If she was an average porker I'd let it go, but she's a hotty which makes it hard now :(

Yea that blows. Well then, do the gentlemanly thing and nail a few till something better comes up?

I actually met my current gf on POF.

Started with couple of messages to then a week of phone calls 2-3 hours a night!

Took her to London for the day on our first date, I even got her up early! I picked her up at 7am! Lol!

1 year on, we are still together! Woop!

Great to see some people are doing great :) I sadly I'm not one of them been on POF for a couple of months now but can get conversations going and all seems well and they they drop off the face of the earth or suddenly never reply. Its a little disheartening.

Get a girlfriend to read your profile for you and see if she can help improve it.

Also you need to be interesting in the subject line of the message. *This is the key to getting replies*
