How's Match a scam if I had roughly 15 dates from it? :confused:

The only scamming that goes on there is when your membership lapse and your profile views increase dramatically. I'm talking 50-60 a day. That never happens when you're a member.

Match is no better or worse then any other dating site. Though, I wouldn't pay again. OKCupid is just as good, if not better, and totally free.

It's a scam (I used the term very loosely) because it gives you only the most cursory, minimal funcitonality before paying... and everything until then is geared towards making you pay, such as by default getting an email for every view your profile gets, it's ridiculous.

I dislike any website that is overtly pushy in getting you to subscribe, it's just very annoying.
 
POF just doesn't seem to be working for me MisCheif, im getting zero catch, not even an old boot is coming out..

OKCupid was a little better, managed to actually meet someone on there, we went out a few times but there was no romantic spark which was a shame because she was actually smokin' hot. We agreed to be friends instead which was is for the better..

Whats this Go Ape meet? at The Lookout i take it? i walk my dog there nearly every day!

It is a scam for the reasons Kimi mentioned. You can't tell who is a paying member so you might be sending loads of emails to people who can't even read them. And paying for the privilege.

Kimi, why don't you try signing up for a free account again and see if you get offered the free 3 day trial.

The guy who I was thinking of introducing my friend to, well we spoke the other day and I think he must've been a bit drunk or something and he started talking about taking my dress off. Made me physically cringe as I'm not attracted to him at all. I stopped replying to him and he went "too far??? hahaha!! sorry :)"

Yeah I was going to sign up to POF, Oasis.com and OkCupid just to see what happens. My mate reckons he'll buy me 6 months on match.com for my 25th birthday (3 months away) if I'm still single so it's win-win right?:p

Give it the 3 months on the free ones and tell him to hold fire on the match.com present, you'll know by then whether it's worth it or not. - Though if it's not working out on the free ones, chances are that paying for the same thing isn't going to make much difference! (although I'm perhaps not the best to offer advice as my opinion is skewed)
