Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I couldn't even read that birds profile... That's why I 'h8' all that text speak crap!... I don't even use it when text messaging!.. if I can't fit it into 160 characters then I just send an email... (or send multiple texts)...

I've messaged a couple of girls on POF recently (I'm gonna give it another go!!).. but none seem to be replying.. I'm getting a little lonely again!.. :(

played this online game for couple months, this 'girl' joins my clan, after few months of getting to know her etc etc... ended up liking her blah blah, flew over to see her for xmas, screwed her, came back to the uk broke up 2 months after that. the end :D internet relationships dont work unless you can be together physically.
 
I've never used a dating webby, I just don't really feel much pressue to be in a relationship since I'm only 17. I know tonnes of people off the t'internet though, and have met up with a lot of some, some off here, and some off another forum I used to go on. My mum met my now step-father on a game called Legend of Mir. It was quite cute because she never used to check her e-mails, and my step-dad (obviously not at the time) had sent her a message asking her out to dinner and thought he'd been blatantly rejected, but she hadn't even seen it to respond!

It was sweet :)

But yeah - If I'm meeting with people 'as friends' I'm fine, can have a laugh, talk about whatever, never a dull moment kinda thing. But as soon as any form of intimacy is introduced, no matter how minute, I crash and burn. Big time!

I'm off out for a drink tonight with a science teacher I 'met' on a forum for ex-pats... who also happens to be damn cute. Going to meet here in about 30 mins, and she already made a pun about checking her diary and seeing if she could "squeeze me in". Could be an amusing evening provided we don't hate each-other after a few drinks. :D

right got the date tomorrow need words of advice as Im briking it I havent had a real date in 2 years now ! :eek: !

Still, you're talking rubbish. Long distance relationships can, and do, work. Id never get in to one myself again, been there, but they do work for some.

Date went awesomely, she's twice as gorgeous in real life (and quite tall), funny and intelligent, and i'm meeting her tommorrow. Win. :D
 
Dang, I never have any luck with that site. I even manage to fail at a pull last night because I kept loosing my voice! lol, its against me for god sake!
 
i'm pondering whether to give it a go or not. The thought of it is scary lol

although my exes were met online only one was from a dating site (love at lycos) but i thinking if I do give it a go I might try match.com because I think if people have to pay for it they might be a bit more serious. I could be completely wrong though
