Still maybe we should be grateful you didnt msg them, lead them on and post all the private info on the forums like what happened the last time...

this kinda thing dons just turn a blind eye...

Shame that not one person in the thread had any qualms about it...gawking, sniggering at the people you "put on display" for our entertainment...

Further update:

Currently sitting in the bed of my gf. We've spent all weekend together, watched movies, gone bowling, drinks out in town, and are about to go horse riding (my first time, lol). Brighton may be on the cards too if the weather is decent.

my life isnt that sad and pathetic that i need to laugh/gawk at people just basically because they arent what you might call "good-looking"..

find it a bit bizarre really... but this kind of thing does seem to amuse you lot...

I recognised number 4 see..... should i contact them to tell them? of course not because its just a few ****ers behaving like immature kids...and all it would confirm to the person what people are like. Why would a stranger deliberately want to maliciously verbally abuse another complete stranger? Ohh but its ok because the person wouldn't find out.. haha.

This sort of thing happens a lot on here...seems to be "enjoyed/tolerated" by the dons as well i guess i'm on the wrong forums.... oh well i learn eventually. :)

The problem is Surfer, that i'm guessing that you are not only of a different and likely significantly higher age bracket, but also as a result different sense of humour. We enjoy taking the mick, it's the internet, and at the end of the day no real harm is done. It's done on every level throughout society on every type of media we see. Hell, even the Dons frequently engage in mick-taking like this, or are you of the rather unrealistic opinion that to be a moderator you have to be a humourless bastion of moral superiority?

If this stuff bothers you please just save your finger energy and bow out of the thread gracefully, because causing a scene when the majority are having fun does you no favours. :)

Taking the mick...with m8s is fine.. thats not whats going on - and you know it.

And when did i give a crap about what the majority thought of me? I dont really care if its done by the majority that doesnt make it acceptable or validate it(as you seem to be implying). If actually treating a person like a person means taking the "moral high ground" then wow guess i'm guilty then...

But hey its not the first and certainly not the worst vulture-like, mindless thuggery chav-like behaviour thats been indulged in on here... i just had enough of it i guess.

I've been taking the mick out of randoms my whole life, as long as they don't find out about it, what harm does it cause?

Rich/Knip, the riding went very well thankyouverymuch :p

Though the horse I rode seems tiny compared to another one that reared it's head recently ;)
 
Just to get this thread back on topic - I finally made a proper profile. Not sure why, just to see what happens I guess :)
 
Cool site! Just had a look and there seems to be a good amount of totage within 10 to 15 miles, which is all I'm prepared to travel to be honest.

Think the best approach to this is gonna be to put the numbers in. I reckon if I check for totty every evening, sorted by last online and by distance that I could knock out 100 emails a week. A simple 'Your profile seems interesting, message me back to chat' or something of that nature. Nothing special. That should lead to some firm leads if I'm knocking out 100 a week.

I reckon the best thing to do is to limit my convo's to 30 minutes, push for phone contact, another 30 minutes and then push for the meet. If its not on by then simply move on to the next lead, otherwise I can see it being a massive drain on my time. Definitely dont want to be spending any money or too much time at a real face to face either. Again, 45 mins tops I think. I reckon I could fit a few of those in a week after work.

Dunno what to put in the profile at the moment. I'll probably keep that short as well. Just havent got the time to be thinking about elaborate profiles and messages.

Having some good photos seems like a good idea though.

Also notice from reading the thread about munters messaging you. I think that can be stopped by just saying in your profile to dont bother messaging me, I'll message you. If they've got anything about them they'll message you anyway. I don't expect any initiations to be honest.

Anyway, I dunno why some people are knocking the idea of internet dating. To be honest I see it as being very efficient on a number of levels. Time being the #1 factor for me. The other major benefit I see is that its 1 on 1, and therefore you're not competing for their attention as you would be in a group of friends or at a club/bar. (well, once contact has been established I mean)

Think I'll trawl the 18 to 30 age range and see what happens. Who knows I could end up with a few girls in rotation? Better go build myself a harem !
