Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I'm close to agreeing to meet with the 19yo. We've been doing some light mailing back and forth and she really is delightful, interesting ... But so young :(

Just cannot get over the fact that I might be meeting a teenager tomorrow night for a drink and who knows what. It's just wrong man. So wrong. :p
 
After two months of meeting up every week/other week we made things official.

I met the new girl on POF. My advice is to get your profile reviewed by people on here, be pick and customise your messages to the girl's profile. If she can't be bothered to post anything descriptive on it then unless you have a good one liner and she's hot then why should you bother trying to start a conversation with her? I come off it for a few days and they started viewing and messaging. Don't get too attached too quickly caus you'll just look keen and scare them off.

For info, she messaged me and it was "you seem normal". Apparently girls get a lot of man parts and weirdos!

Good luck guys! I'm gonna need it too :p

I'm 31 and met a 21 year old from POF and it was fine.

Don't worry about the age thing, you should be grateful of a nice, young and fresh bodied girl is interested. This opportunity won't come around often so embrace it and make the most of it. What's the worst that will happen... You won't like each other, but the best that could happen is you get on with much in common. Treat it as dating experience :D

Yeah yeah! Woman rules of the dating game is that if you draw the purse out the bag first then the man will always stop you and say that he will pay, you decline to make him feel like a true gentleman, then he says that he insists he pays. All planned and premeditated a free dinner/coffee for you :p

Unless you decide you don't want a second date and/or sex, then you let them pay their share. But yeah, it's all a game.

Same here! Gave benefit of the doubt and went out with a few. Didn't work. Promised myself slim girls only but have got myself in a situation AGAIN. :(

Happens to the best of us sometimes, last woman who did it to me thought it was a good start to getting a long term relationship... Wasn't impressed!
 
Men (and women) of OCUK - need thoughts!

So I went on a first date with a bird last week, had a good time and as such has been documented in this thread. Took her out again a few days later and once again good time, she sealed it with a kiss so I was pretty chuffed. Text her the next day proposing date #3, to which she replied saying she was away abroad with work/family until Easter, but could we set a date for after then. So I talked to some other gentlemen and they told me that I should play it cool, so told her just to let me know when she was free again and we'd do something.

I've not heard from her since then (Friday) and now my female housemate is busting my balls saying I should be texting her or she'll lose interest. However my other housemate (male) says I shouldn't be too bothered and just text her in a few days or wait for her to text me. Don't know what to do - don't want to overcook it and don't want to muck it up either...argh. So, honourable denizens of OCUK - what should I do?
