Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I'm veggie and it's never put a guy off (well at least they've never told me it has, lol!). I don't understand veggies/vegans who try and put others off meat - it's their own choice. I'm totally fine going to a steakhouse with someone - at the end of the day they can do what they want as long as I'm not the one eating meat, haha!

Goes to show how much difference a picture makes.. I stuck up a new one yesterday and deleted my less photogenic ones. Now I'm talking to 6, 4 of which contacted me first and I didn't even change a thing in my profile!

the pictures i uploaded about a month ago made no difference in terms of amount of responses, i must just be ugly from every angle ;)

granted i have had a date recently so i cant be all that bad :D:cool:

I had a date at weekend, was soo nervous, thats the only thing i hate about meeting off the internet, i get real nervous but soon disappears, i know this happens everytime. silly really

haha, thoughts?

She seems nice enough, has incredibly large eyes though. I take it she's back-up if girl #1 falls through? (whom I feel you should share - you can trust me! :)

im game ;) ill even crack out my suit!!
probably be the first person to ever wear a suit in newton abbot kfc...
i roughly have about £15-20 left till the 25th so i guess i can stretch to a bargain bucket!!

or if money gets tighter, i could always take her to cost cutter for a romantic apple and can of coke!

would truly be a date she would never forget!

Why don't you take her out for a picnic? doesn't have to be caviar & truffles, just nip into the local lidls, and pick up a cheap selection of foods, take them out of their Lidl boxes and chuck them in a basket, and go find a nice quiet spot somewhere. Just an idea for something cheap...

I was bricking it when i met mine! even tho we had talked for ages.

Same for me, once we had met the nervousness quickly went and the conversation flowed. Must be worse if the conversation is.. well.. lacking!

i was like that on my date, stood at the train station, i chewed the end off my sunglasses! didnt help she was late either, but as soon as we got on the train i started to calm down.

i guess its also got something to do with the fact youve never met or seen this person in real life so you dont know what they are like!

Well there's always someone for everyone... :p

I've come off online dating (again) because it's become such a chore again :o and eating out/going for coffees all the time is making me fat.

yup! and at least you get to go on dates! took me three months to get my first one! haha

Haha i remebr standing by my car (glad i had just picked up a nice one rather than the rust bucket) fiddling with my sunglasses, checking my face in the side mirror etc, trying not to sweat from nerves

1) hoping i recognised them from the people coming off.. imagine the embarassement

2) hoping they were what you expect!

Just tighen your criteria, only entertain those who really stand out....This being said, this tactic has, up to now, left me failing miserably with the online dating thing....So maybe bad advice.

or you walking straight past the person who it was! :o

also.. how do you greet them.. hug is safe! but for some that is even too much!

I overthink things in general so makes it worse!

I think i did, and it was my first serious date ever. but i was undecided right to that point. Its amazing how much some people think about this sort of stuff and others not at all.. non issue!

Weird how you go from revved up & keen to omg stop bothering/texting/PMing me as soon as the "Interview" is out the way. :p

lol, does that mean your to successful at online dating?
Nope! I'm too picky :o

yup! and at least you get to go on dates! took me three months to get my first one! haha
It's easier for girls to get dates :)

I don't think I can tighten my criteria any more.. I'm already picky enough as it is :o
