Someone suggested I get involved in online dating recently........ This thread is HUGE so can the regulars let me in on whether experiences are generally good or generally bad??

That's surprising, you're pretty and seem really nice. Their loss though I guess.
One liners (FIRST MESSAGE) don't mean anything as far as i'm concerned it's the profile that matters to me!. If however it's constantly one liners from someone then that is a problem
Not saying that one liners automatically mean the person isn't worth bothering with, but if you have a ton of messages being sent to you regularly, then most people aren't going to read every single one, so to cull the number down I can see why people would just delete the one liners first.

There's a really nice coffee shop on Lower Marsh next to the station called Scooter Cafe. If the weather is nice, there's a nice fountain, plus places to sit in front of St. Thomas' Hospital with a view of Parliament and then you could walk along south bank. See what's on at the Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery, BFI Southbank and The National Theatre as these are all places you will be walking past. Perhaps keep walking to the oxo tower to have a drink at their bar.
*Don't do all of the above though!
As for eating, there is Ping Pong next to the station but if I were you I'd go to Las Iguanas which is next to the footbridge by Royal Festival Hall. They do a few really nice Brazillian dishes eg. prawn bobo and xinxim. Xinxim is more creamy and my favourite. Good luck!

She said i did wonder when we would talk , *well i did tell her about the mobile yesterday but she must've skimmed past it*. I been on POF a week and got a message of someone I actually do really fancy. Share same interests etc, 100 emails later which she usually replies to instantly. I just can't judge if she is interested for real or not. She rarely asks questions back, maybe I am just entertaining her. She said she is up for a drink when I back in Leeds. Maybe reading into this too much, its hardwork. I am usually cool with all this when its the normal way of dating.

I think it would be a good thing to chat on phone before you actually meet. It will ratchet up the intensity. Dont chat for long just just long enough for her to hear your sexy voice and let her imagination go into overdrive.
Just say, just wanted to phone to see how you were etc how you doing, good to finally hear your voice. Ask her if shes nervous, how she feels etc simple stuff. Then confirm stuff about the date meet/time then say see you soon X (name) byeeeee

I know, what I was getting at was that most people who seem to frequent this forum appear to be younger than me. I dont look 31, certainly don't feel it.
I went out for a friends 21st party a few weeks ago. About 10 of us in total with me being the eldest by 13 years! I went in the pub last and was the only one to get ID.
I was 12 years older than the bouncer lol.
I got ID'd the other day in a bar, which normally wouldn't bother me, except I'm in Germany, and the legal age is 16 for Beer, Wine and Cider. She just laughed when she saw I was 25 lol. I think it's awesome looking younger though

Anyway, just updated my profile, need some critique(or just blatant laughing will do fine
Bear in mind I'm a guy so you might want to confirm what I say with one of the ladies. Picture 1 could be better, the lighting is wrong and the facial expression is not friendly. Picture 2 is great, 3 is poor, it's dark and doesn't show anything new and 4 is amazing! Do you have any pictures of you snowboarding?
Try not to start your profile description with a negative. Good description of hobbies, it's fun and you manage to make yourself sound financially comfortable but without bragging which is good.
Consider taking out the negative line in your music taste, "just not the usual crappy chavvy dance most people think of lol." Instead I'd be positive and say what you do like e.g., Burial or whatever...
Overall I think you need to try and help a potential woman to see where they would fit into your life. Like on the back of your motor bike! Or on the ski slope, or at a live music event. Just bear in mind you're not just describing you, you're kind of selling an adventure that involves you.

To be honest, I didn't even think of my pictures when I updated the profile, I mealy looked at the text, so probably a good think you pointed that out. I agree with your comments, however, I am probably one of the most unphotogenic people going lol, I struggle to get a good portrait photo of myself, but I'll see what I can find . And I don't have any of me snowboarding unfortunately, I did have quiet a few, but I manage to loose them all a while back. Will have to get some more when I next get out on the slopes, which won't be next year

EDIT: Changed 1 picture, did some adjustment with the lighting, still not fantastic mind lol.

As above third pic is too dark. There are also none of you smiling. The first one you look a bit miserable and no offense but as its your main picture it could actually put people off if they think you look moody

For example you said you can't get on your bike until next summer. You could say something about hoping that by that time you will have someone who can join you. Or maybe say that with snowboarding instead
And just me being picky but when you talk about the aspects of photography I would personally change it to "aspects of it" as I think the word photography is used too much in that sentence. But as I said thats just my opinion lol .
