Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Had a date yesterday afternoon which went well (or so I thought), lot's of laughing & joking & her body language towards me was open. When we were parting company she said "Let me know if you'd like to meet up again" I said "yeah I'd like to" & we went our separate ways. Normally I would leave it for a bit but have been trying different things & decided to just let her know I liked here there & then.

Anyway, texted her this morning saying I enjoyed our date & looked forward to meeting up (again, I normally would have waited a day or so) & had no response whatsoever.

Why do they ask if you want to meet them & then disappear? This is the second time in 2 dates, I reckon they just want their ego stroked.

Officially moved from 99% had enough of online dating to 99.9%. They're all a bunch of weirdos :mad:
 
Lol you text this morning and have not had a response and you're angry?

A million things could've happened, like she left her phone at home for example.

Haha well I guess I'm just bitter :p

The last one asked me to get in touch so we could "meet up & do something" after we dated Thursday evening, I left it til Saturday morning then texted her...
Maybe I should be a bit more patient :rolleyes:
 
Maybe its not the text but what your texting them!!!
Plus if you say her body language was open to you, did you take the opportunity to push a little closer, or maybe some flirtatious touching? At the end of the night did you just say your awkward goodbyes, yeah we'll meet again and walk away?

Remember girls are a funny bunch :D

I kissed her goodbye, just a peck but thinking back I should have maybe put an arm round her or something, I tend to stay hands off for the first date & maybe, if I'm getting the right signals, this is something I need to change.
 
Hmmmm odd, then I reckon she will text you. Just have to wait a little. I say go big or go home, should have gone for a snog :D I'm totally hands on, but not in a sleazy way just enough to make a person feel comfortable. Like asking about her crazy nails and holding the ends of her hand, or asking if she's a biter and checking her nails, maybe touching her back as you open doors and follow through or when at the bar with her, brushing legs. Might seem trivial but it helps.

The best thing to do is go for a small walk and lightly brush her hand, It's not as intimate as grabbing their hand but works for some. It's what I do atleast.

My problem was I went on a blind date once and she was nothing like her profile, pics etc. I ended up brushing her hand a few times by mistake, and then after that the flood of texts started. I ignored them, hindsight I should have told her but it was the first time I've actually gone on a date so I was a bit stupid and nervous.

Weeee I'm really looking forward to my Saturday date!

Just had a long conversation without trying out too many topics so I still have stuff to talk about.

quite excited about this one, and she's only 20m on the train away, distance has always been my problem :D.
 
I just got back from a speed dating event, was a lot of fun and I recommend it to you guys :).

Will see tomorrow if someone has ticked me, although the numbers were low and we were offered a free event in the future, which was nice.

Also on a date with someone i met on match.com on Thursday, should be good :).

Weirdly enough, 8 out of the 9 men who were at the speed dating event all worked in IT....

Ha ha that makes it sound like if you brush ANY girls hand she falls in love with you immediately. I'm gonna try it! :D

It's contact, if they like you they will pick up on it. plus if they're quite shy it's better, I do it without realising.
 
One of my friends signed me up on plentyoffish last night and now I've sent a few messages I feel this could be fun.

It's been a while since I as in a real relationship but mostly due to the fact I'm not really bothered though recently I've felt I could use a woman's touch.

at the end of the night i gave her a hug and said i'll text you but decided to leave it after thinking about it. she hasn't tried to contact me so the feeling is probably mutual! :p


whats your stance on age? i've a few older women interested in me.
so who's going out with someone older?

I went on a date Sunday with a woman 3 years my senior (she's 30), she seems to actually have a personality which is nice! :p

haha, i did that 2 years ago and still living with the girl i hooked up there with...so it does work, quite fun too! On mine half way into it there were these 4 girls who all knew each other and were clearly there for a laugh and giggle with little interest about anyone, so i decided to play along and confess my love for all things HSM....haha needless to say they weren't amused..


and the IT thing is soo true, My mrs said that is was refreshing that i wasnt in IT as she was fed up of hearing the same rubbish! (your not in IT are you? :p)
 
Lol cruiser when you said older I thought it would be 8 years difference or something. Three is nothing really when you are in your 20's. Just a number after all...
