** iOS 8 **

How do I actually use iCloud Drive? I have Yosemite on my MBA which has a folder for it, but nothing on my iPhone.

On my iPad2 safari is almost unusable. Its like it only loads the open tab in to ram, so switching between tabs forces a slow laggy reload. Argh its just such a mess.

Slowly but surely I am switching away from apple, them and their cultish ways.

Read reviews before upgrading old hardware.

Not so keen on the way you have to open a new tab to access any bookmarks you add in Safari. It seems you can't click the book at the bottom of the Safari window to open the list of custom bookmarks like iOS 7.

Is it possible to change this?

Easy question for you techies

On my (now old) ip5, if I erase all content and reset, does it take the phone completely back to stock. i.e. Ready for selling?

Yeah should do, just remember to disable Find my iPhone before/remove it from your account.

This has made my iPad mini retina horrid to use. Especially browsing which now feels sluggish with lots of pages failing to open properly.

My Dad's was a bit the same earlier, sorted itself out in the time it took to have some lunch. I've got a hunch it's spotlight indexing in the background, similar to when you upgrade OS X.

Bull ******* ****. Software updates should not break a device, do not push updates to older hardware if they break usability. Because I clicked yes to an automatic prompt does not make me ******* responsible.

Just LOL. Let me guess, you're never responsible for anything?

That's just what I come here to find out. Maybe I should leave mine on 7. I also have an ipad 2 on iOS 7 which is just used for kids games but I don't really want to ruin it.

Reoccurring theme this with Apple products. IOS 7 was awful on my iPad 2. Won't be installing 8.
Apple should be stopped from rending their old hardware in what most find unusable.

It's good that they continue OS support for 4 years, my main beef is they make it difficult to get back to a previous OS.

Do Apple not test these updates before release. IOS 8 is a complete mess. Both my retina and the wife's normal mini have been having issues since updating its damn frustrating.

I presume there is no way to go back to 7 ?

Did you do an update or a fresh install on both devices?

I did an update and it was lag then tried a fresh install and my iPad mini non retina is now running fine.

It is but when its too demanding for its hardware it is not worth supporting. Apple aren't doing you a favour by supporting old hardware. They're just rending old devices slow making people upgrade. Criminal.
