*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

Just seen a 64gig 5 go for £1370 on the bay, why o why do people pay stupid prices for them?

I realise folks buy them to put the phones on there to make money, but really paying that sort of cash is beyond me.

Feel quite good about mine coming to me direct from Apple tomorrow.

Cheers all :)

there will still be people trying to buy at 10 o'clock probably through till 1pm..

if I'm still going to have to wait like you say, why didn't he just call and say

'Hi your phone has arrived, please come at anytime tomorrow and queue up with the rest of the other sad sheep, thanks bye"

Why would he ask ME what time I wanted to pick MY phone??

I dont get why your challenging it? Your either one of the sad sheep or your not getting one.. one of the two.
Firstly, it's "you're".

Secondly, I have no problem with you going to collect the handset tomorrow. My initial point was made tongue-in-cheek (see smilie) and the point I was making was that going dead on opening time when there would be loads of people waiting, isn't the smartest idea when you have the option to collect at any time . You then got annoyed and the toys left the pram.

At a guess the store will be dead at 1pm, as the queue would have died and likely the shop would have exhausted their stock, leaving the reserved handsets only.

Thirdly, you can't really call people queuing at the shop, sheep, if you're going to be one of the first to pick the phone up, on launch day.. Perhaps you find it cool to insult strangers because of their buying habit, I don't know, but it doesn't give a nice impression of you. In fact, it's a comment akin to that seen in the graphics forums, by the trolls.

Lastly, if you've read the thread, you'll see I've preordered the 64GB black. It'll be delivered tomorrow and I won't have to leave the house. Cheers for the assumption though, it seems you are wrong :D

That is crazy!

Does make you wonder whether it's worth selling!

Why would you send it recorded delivery?! Compensation up to £42. That's handy if the buyer says it never arrived.

Yup. Still, nothing stopping someone signing it as "the postman" and saying it never arrived either.

Long story short, my three order mucked up and I have an extra 16GB iPhone coming. Total cost would be £900. I have a Three SIM only contact that's £10 a month so in theory I could knock £240 of the £900 making the true cost £640.

Do you think it's worth keeping and trying to flip it for a profit?

Anyone got any good ideas where to get one sim free tomorrow? I'm ruling out the Apple store in Cambridge as it's just too much hassle. Worth trying Carphone warehouse as I have several local ones?

They dont sell unlocked in carphone warehouse (at the moment) They will do but in 2 or 3 months after they have filed contract ones
