*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

You'll only be able to get one on a two year contract at an o2 store. No thank you o2, I'll buy one sim free and save myself a few hundred quid without being locked into a silly length deal. Apple store is the only place you'll get one sim free on launch day.

I'm hoping O2 will keep my £5 PM discount I currently have, making the £26 PM contract the cheapest option by far.

Otherwise it is cheaper buying outright, but I ain't queing.

Am hoping there is a jailbreak available as well soon, would rather keep my phone the way it is then having to wait for jailbreak.
Ah I'd forgotten about all my jailbroken goodness. Oh well, most of the jailbreak features I really care about are replicated as core functionality in IO6 I guess. Will miss SBS Settings and quick-reply in Bite SMS though :(

You can also then get protectors and cases easier, if like me you apply protectors as soon as you open the case :D I couldn't use it without having it in a switcheasy skin. Not with my line of work anyway :)

I think this is what I will do, also partly due to the fact I can't decide on a network provider/contract.

Yeah I'm sim only 600 minutes etc for £10.25 a month. I've been struggling to decide what to do. I have a 4 that works fine, doesn't struggle with anything I do. Just found a second hand 4s for £300 ish so might just do minor upgrade this year and see where we are at next year with 4G.

I pay £22 a month still through a rolling O2 contract. My 4 runs fine in terms of speed but the home button is so temperamental its bloody annoying.
Thing is, if I could get a decent amount for this 4 I would put the rest towards a sim-free 5 but I can't see me getting more than about £190 (32gb)

On friday we shall see what EE has to offer. I am not planning on changing my tariff as it can't be better, even with this 4G-not-available-for-very-a-long-time-in-my-area, but I'm always getting simfree versions.

Yeah they go for more than that on avforums but as you say it has a temperamental button. My wife said hers was so I traded it in with money4machines rather than sell it and my sister is having my 4 if I trade up.

I didn’t even have to do that. I only ask in my o2 store and they handed me one. No details where given. We have 2 o2 stores in Birmingham and it was only the smaller store which has sims in stock.

I have tried once last night and twice today to swap my sim over but thing has happened. May have to call them later.
.

That happened to me when I used the online simswap nothing happened, I did it again using the text SWAP to the number and it worked almost immediately
