iPhone 5 Tariffs

Went to a Vodafone store earlier today apparantly they arnt allowed to give blank nano sims to customers for fraud reasons, not happy at all, all they offered to do was transfer the number over on the spot which is poor customer service really considering it would render my iphone 4 useless until Friday and no guarantees with courier companies I'll receive the new phone on Friday.

Managed to get a new nano ordered through customer service 191 hopefully will get it tomorrow.

A quick heads up for anyone that's ordered on Three through Quidco: they're asking people to submit cashback claims, as there's been a problem with the cashback tracking for iPhone 5 pre-orders. I'd already submitted my claim last night but it's worth anyone checking their account and getting their claim in ASAP if not tracked (Three are requesting it's done within 21 days from now, regardless).

Could anyone who has ordered a nano-SIM from Three online tell me if they contain nano -> micro -> full-size adapters in the pack?

Cheers for the heads up :) Where did you hear this?

My claim is 'On-Ice' at the moment. Also, can you confirm whether you found an option for £96.96 on the cashback due as I only saw £96.00

EDIT: This is actually for Top Cashback, but I presume it's the same issue for both Quidco and Top Cashback

Well T mobile have kind of broken the silence, tweeting a few times to customers that they will not start shipping until Friday 21st. Bit wrong of them to be honest as it was originally advertised to be with customers where possible on the 21st...

Good job I ain't that fussed about waiting a few extra days, but feel for the hardcore fans who are booking time off work to wait for a delivery that probally won't happen....

If you are sad enough to book a day off to wait for mobile phone then you deserve it :p

I think mine is due in 3 weeks, am i bothered ... nope

I actually thought the Tesco contracts would be better than that. :(

Me too. Had my iphone 4 new from them on a 12 month contract and they contracts were much better. Think I paid £330 for the handset then £20 a month for 12 months with 200 mins and unlimited internet. Not sure how many texts I had but remember it was more than enough.

Think I will buy a 32gb iPhone 5 direct from Apple and try three for a change. That £12.90 rolling monthly contract (+£25 back on Quidco). Cost of ownership works out really competitive if I have my maths right.

Happy with my 4S but the 5 does look good, tempted also by the new Windows 8 phones.

I bought the 4S 16GB out right from Apple at launch and used simfree Giffgaff £10 a month. Looking just now it still seems a good way of doing it if you have the money there up front. For example the Three deal on the first page of the thread is £34 a month for 2 years + £79 upfront, which compared to buying it and 2 years of GG £10 is £126 cheaper over the same period than contract. Can also then sell it earlier whilst it has value and change if you want to.

I don't seem to use much data compared to others, just a couple hundred a month at most. I usually sit on wifi though when at someones house/office. Are those who find 1GB far too little streaming things every day or something?
