Thats a bit lame :/ I guess the slightly lower resolution and the lack of the same multitasking features as the Air 2 convinced Apple they could get away with slightly lower specs - it does make a mockery of their keynote however.

I am considering the Z3 Compact, the camera looks decent on it too.

The camera is decent, but it's still worse than the iPhone. Android apps are not as strong and well polished as Apples.

Other than that, it either matches the iPhone or beats it IMO.

The phone is also physically a lot smaller than the iPhone due to now having such big bezels. Only 0.1 inches screen difference, so you hardly notice it.

Battery is amazing, can make it last two days with normal usage. Performance is also great, almost no lag except occasionally but that's due to Android.

It's only when using phones such as the Z3 Compact, you can then see how badly iPhones are in terms of value.

Android apps are also only going to keep being better and better. In another 5 years I don't see Apple will have any advantage when it comes to the software ecosystem.

They do, you can't download apps over 100MB unless you're connected to WiFi.

The apps over wifi thing is stupid. Many people have unlimited data now, it should warn users and allow them to continue. That'll be a revolutionary feature for iOS 10.

I was shocked to see the screen shot to be honest as I've been downloading over 3g for quite some time. Even more shocked to see it doesn't work on my wife's contract - I wonder if its something to do with three's new rules regarding tethering as I'm still on unlimited tethering where as my wife is on a 4gb tethering plan.

I'm on the old One Plan with unlimited tethering. I bought my Phone from PC World if it makes any difference? Was a whim purchase and the closest Apple reseller to me is in Cheltenham and I hate going there.

If RAM was using as much power as you think, then a phone with 3/4GB would need a massive battery to make up just for that, therefore making it pointless.

That's right. 3/4GB of RAM on a phone has its negatives but people doesn't realise that when playing hardware spec Top Trumps.

16GB base storage is pathetic. I hoped to return to apple, but there isn't a whole lot exciting about the 6s. As for user experience - check out that 4k capability with its paltry space to do so! Yes you can buy bigger versions - but average Joe, who the iphone appeals to greatly doesn't go much more than oooh its iphone - buy.
