iphone down to £169

What you chaps reckon to sticking my 8gb US one on ebay now 1 day listing and trying to make a few quid?

Could try but people will soon catch on about the new price and just buy it new.

I wonder if the O2/CPW shops will try to enforce activating the phone instore on a PC or something. That would be a tad annoying :D

tracked only after a few days!

thanks. But like what Minstadave said, you didn't buy an iphone to get the £100 quidco right? my fault for being blind and unable to read properly

because so far those that i talked to confirmed they didn't get any quidco for their iphone even and it's over a week since they bought it.

It may have been already answered but is the £170 if you get the phone with a contract?

Im already with o2 and would just want the phone keeping my existing contract etc..

I'd also like this answered. I'm assuming that it will be the same as normal ie. you only buy the handset from O2/CPW then activate it yourself at home, or supposedly. Fingers crossed.

I dunno if i'm asking the same thing, but can I buy it from o2 etc but not have to sign up for a monthly contract? i.e unlock i once i get home?

I asked the same question on MacRumors and got the response,

shouldn't think so or else there changing the whole way the iphone is sold!!

You can at the moment, we're trying to establish if there's a clause in the price drop to make you sign a contract to get it.

EDIT: Found a website saying things will be the same (sauce):

What might interest many consumers put off by the phone's previous £269 price tag is that the way the iPhone is sold in the UK (bought first, then contract selected via iTunes) means anyone can now pick up the cheaper model during the promotion - without committing to a contract - and unlock it.

I'll give them a ring and find out in morning, save myself a trip to get one if not.

The offer's only available in store as I understand it and as always you'll just be buying the handset, all the contract stuff comes later when you activate on itunes.

edit:

Also it's £169 not £160
