Weeelll... not really since O2/Apple didnt expect your typical user to be changing SIM cards, so there would be no initial need to export SIM details over.

Will we be able to upgrade to version 2.0 when it comes out if your phone is already jailbroken/sim unlocked or will it be a case of running through the ziphone crack again

prob need to run Pwnage instead as that is the only one that support 2.0 beta at the moment.

By the time 2.0 is out of Beta I should imagine that ZiPhone (and the others) will support it too. Probably best to wait until after the full version has been confirmed jailbroken though.

Unless Ziphone and the others change the way their programs work I'd imagine pwnage will get 2.0 out much quicker. Hopefully by then winpwn will be working fully so everyone can use it.

Does my iphone automatically connect to Orange GPRS?

I have disabled EDGE but I do get the block in the status bar. I have never entered any GPRS settings or such.

I have no data allowance on my contract so wish to ensure the iphone doesn't use any.

I think that just means it's in an area where you can get it. Try pulling a web page through and see what happens.

yes go into the installer and at the bottom there is a button for uninstalling.

If you want to make sure, change the password in Edge setting, the password for orange is PASS, just take away a letter or something then you will know it won't connect.

However it is done I am going to wait until it has been proven and tested before restoring and jailbreaking to 2.0

Yeah, i'm sure most people will.. but i'd imagine pwnage will have a working 2.0 out pretty quickly so you'll soon hear if it causes problems

The 2.0 betas work fine using it.. and apart from push not working the Exchange stuff works

maybe it's only going to be in store or something. But as pic it doesn't say out of stock it just says unavailable. Spoke to a local store who said they're having a delivery today but not sure if iphones are on it or not..

My phones picking up my Universitys WiFi (Which is unsecured) So I guess it doesn't like the WEP on my Belkin router

Will probably have a try with turning WEP off later and see if it connects.

You don't have anything like extended range turned on at home do you? I hear that can cause an issue things up.
