Sorted my PC out but the iPhone Wi-Fi problem still persists. Restored and ZiPhone'd again but to no avail.
Is there an actual fix or will it have to go back to o2? I'm not sure whether thank link posted earlier is a guaranteed fix or not.
Try this, and see what happens.
To run this utility:
1.
Become fakeblanked by using BootNeuter (set FakeBlank to ON before selecting Flash).
2.
Download the archive swifi.zip, unzip it, and transfer it to your iPhone. You can either bundle it into a custom ipsw via PwnageTool, or use something like iphuc. Make sure swifi has execute permission (chmod +x swifi).
3.
Log into your iPhone via VT100 terminal application as root
4.
Unload your CommCenter (otherwise you'll probably see “Error 0xffffffff” from swifi).
*
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
*
killall -9 CommCenter
5.
Run the swifi tool. It should complete in less than 3 seconds.
6.
If you've manually changed your wifi MAC address via ibooter, or if you've had your wifi MAC address changed on you by a buggy unlocker, change it back to its original value.
7.
If swifi reports “actions taken”, reboot your iPhone to use the new tables. You may also need to do “Settings→General→Reset→Reset Network Settings”
I'm only getting like a day from my battery with heavy wifi use. Is that right?
Sounds about right. I get about a week of just standard phone/ipod use, but as soon as i start using the screen/wifi allot it eats the battery.
No ones knows how to fix the wifi connection/drop out issues? (not greyed button problem)
What security type are you using now that works?
Hey,
Even though CPW aren't selling the 8GB Iphone anymore, if they still have them instock do you think they are allowed to sell it?
Thanks,
Matt.
The reason they "stopped" selling was due to no stock I thought?
I believe they are selling in store, stores with stock that is.I thought that was just online? I'd assume they'd keep selling in store until all the stock was gone.
