One reason that mine is now on an auction site!

Don't like the none forwarding of texts, touch screen qwerty is impossible when you've had abit to drink and when you've got £300 of phone in your pocket that only has looks that are better than your current phone and missing functionality I just can't see it worth £300 personally

I've come to the conclusion that my iPod touch and a nice small fashion phone is best for me. Having said that, when everyone starts getting theirs I know I'm going to want one!

Still think I am going to head down to the Apple store at 1pm. I got there for 4 for the Leopard launch and was second in the queue but by 6pm it was out of the Bullring doors.

So best get there early!

If I can buy one and use it with my current O2 contract i'd snap one up. But I'd never pay £15 extra a month.

Plus I think i'll hold out to see if the 16Gb version appears in Jan/Feb.

v1.1.2 firmware coming out on the UK iPhone.
Will probably be hacked but might take a lot more work as they are closing the TIFF exploit!

Might extend my auction listing or even keep hold of the phone, 1.0.2/1.1.1 could be going like gold dust if 1.1.2 can't get unlocked !

The CPW site is saying the launch will be at 6pm Friday.

Puts a spanner in the works for those who wanted to get it whilst at work

After scouring the web then decided to wait for the 3G version as Steve Jobs has said that one will come next year.

At the moment then don't have an iPod and don't really use a mobile that much so I will just have to dig in and wait for it. Not paying £270 for a phone/ipod when know is going to be replaced in 12months.

You say that, but so would an iPod ;)

Well, I originally thought I would hold off for a few months until the next revision comes out (probably with 3G) - but I can't contain myself and simply have to get one :)

I work 30 secs away from the Arndale Centre (Manchester) so was going to pop to the Apple store to buy one... BUT, if you order from the Carphone Warehouse using Quidco you get £60 cashback, making the iPhone £209 :D Will be annoying waiting for delivery but I think worth it to save £60

Well Guys, I'm off to my brothers for the weekend and have two options.

First, go to Milton Keynes where he lives and hang out their shop till 6pm OR

Head into London, which my mother would like to do? but to be outside the Regent Street shop will be a nightmare right?

What think?

I do fancy the hussle & bussle but I bet people will be queing at something like 12pm lol?

Here's a novel suggestion, how about you don't queue and buy one at the weekend? They aren't going to sell out.

Think? was discussing it with titchard, it wont have the same 'atmosphere' if I go to MK's Store?

I fancy going into London anyway, and might as well see what goes on? Press/Live Performance?

I aim to get to Bullring store around 1PM to see what is going on. If there arent any queues then I will keep walking around until what appears to be a queue forms.

I did this for Leopard launch and it worked out ok as I was the second in line.

Cant wait now!

Might as well give it a go in London, if not I will try MK on the Saturday Morning, As long as I can atleast say I was 'there' :p lololol.

I didn't fancy an iPhone, but the closer the launch gets, the more I want one!

Don't really fancy an 18month contract tho :( 12months is bad enough!

Same. :o

Needs 3G and other stuff that the N95 8GB has before I tip over the edge of temptation though.

O2 have ditched the 200MB data limit on the phone tariffs now :)

Really? Quick look on the O2 website there's still a 200MB limit, or do you just mean the iPhone plans? I can't see a specific limit on there, but it says there's a fair use policy.
