O2's data provision is a joke, and the prices have me on the floor rolling around in stitches. 2Mb for £3, or for the lovely business users £25 for 250Mb. T-Mobile do unlimited Web'n'Walk (nominally 1Gb) for £7.50 and a high usage one designed for laptop users for £12.50. Plus it works - I happily used a 3G phone via Bluetooth as my only internet connection for 3 months when I moved. There were a couple of days when it went down a for a hour or so.

If the O2 data network is as flaky as the caps suggest and they get the iPhone (I'm still sceptical) it'll meltdown the network...

I remember reading somewhere that O2 have been expanding their EDGE network over the last couple of months, so its more than likely that the iPhone wont be 3g :) Roll on 10AM tomorrow though.

Im gonna get one!

Hopefully unlock it and put my Three sim in it. Current tariff on my three sim is £5 a month :p

Trying to leave three is fun! Get a new phone and £30 off my tariff.

Hmm I've just renewed my O2 contract.. is it not a possibility that you can buy the phone and use it with O2 if you have an existing contract?

Having said that the new tariff would have to provide cheap data (highly unlikely), and the iPhone would really have to be 16Gb.

I think ordering the iPod Touch 16Gb was right for me. Plenty of space, Wi-fi when I need it, and I can keep my old (well new) k810i in operation.

"We picked the best one, the most poplular carrier, it's O2. We've since lowered the price of the US phone of the 8GB phone, in the UK the price of the iPhone is £269 including VAT.

It goes on sale November 9. "We've been thinking about what kind of ads to run for the iPhone, we need to get out of way and let the iPhone speak for itself." They've got a version in the UK: "Do you want to see them?" Applause. ... aaaand they're the same ads as the US, just with British voiceover."

:(

heh i love it the way people will read engadget and then rush to ocuk to post some juicy details, when pretty much everyone reading the thread at this moment is reading the feed too...

I always find it funny, maybe I'm just strange :)
