Well, i almost went to bed. Instead i decided to have a crack at the 3am race
I hadnt realised this was a longer race, 70min

I had like 8min to figure out what fuel was required to get to the finish, then with all that to contend with, i realised that the setup i had wasnt going to allow me to put much fuel in! I couldnt figure out how to raise the ride height (and wasnt going to start messing with a setup) so i just put as much in as it'd allow, and accepted i'd have to pit earlier than i'd have liked, and see if i could put more fuel in then (which i could - which seems stupid!)
Everything was going so well. Then on lap 11 my sound goes really quiet! I didnt know if this was engine damage or what it was, so i basically moved over and tried to assess if the car was okay, and it seemed to be fine. So i cranked the volume up a bit. What was weird is that it was iRacing which went quiet, i use GearSound and i was getting the beeps at the regular sound, except now it was twice as loud cos i needed to hear the car (and the beeps were at 8000rpm not 8500ish so useless).
I carried on, but it cost me a few places and 7sec on similar laps.
When it came to the pitstop, i just tabbed out and closed GearSound and turned the volume up more. What i also didnt realise was that I didnt need to bother getting tyres. I thought 70min race might require it, so when i came out and everyone had pitted, everyone was well ahead of me, incl those i know i was faster than.
Aside from the audio issue and the confusion that caused me, everything went really well for 65min... and then penultimate lap i was pushing to catch the RUF i'd had behind me for the first 11 laps and let through during the sound issues, wasnt catching enough with time running out so i pushed a little harder exiting a corner and wrote the front end off. 90 degree steering from half way around the lap. 1m30ish stop for repairs, no fuel or tyres, and when i exit the leader parked up just before the pit exit, and my car is still driving the same as before. So i had to do a lap turning 90' right just to go straight. Fortunately it didnt cost me any places, and the only one it could have cost me was a guy just behind the race winner, and as i was over the line in my stall, he couldnt reach me
Absolutely loved it though, never felt like it was a problem, never had to pedal jam to save it, it was just a joy to drive from start to almost finish
I also managed an unassisted 1:34.892 towards the end, and following others helped confirm the ideal racing lines and taught me 1 i hadnt considered which i think helped a little.
I assumed i needed 4 races and/or TT's, but it looks like its OR, so i'll probably do 3 more races over the weekend instead of 2 more TT's.
