Not much content in that time iirc, possibly Oulton and Iowa Speedway, but the new tyre model has improved and is on more cars now as well as some various other aero/graphics/sound tweaks (spotter calling out laptimes is awesome)...

What did you run back then?
 
peeps are getting in the high 12's now skill..

that line into moss is defo better for me i can manage it now, pb is 1.14.7 atm..

im having a problem.

since going to a triple screen setup, when im playing iracing after a while my game crashes to a black screen and the audio crashes but stays on and stutters and i have to turn my pc by the switch at thew back to get out of it..

any ideas what this problem could be?

i had this problem before with bf3 that turned out to be realtek on board audio so i bought a xonar dg sound card and that fixed it..

ive just thought ive put my othe 580 in to go sli and the sound card in in the middle of 2 580s, could this be overheating???

my 2 580s run a below 60 when playing iracing...

specs are [email protected]
gtx 580 sli
8gb ram
1000w psu
asus p8p67 mobo...

I just did a few more laps, really scruffy and slow to start with but then I hid all the F boxes and just tried to lap consistently, cue a 13.9, 14.0, 14.4, 14.5, 14.6, 14.0, 13.7 run, which is a start I guess :)

No idea on the problem tbh, I've been running triple screens around a year now (on amd hardware though) with no problems, not read much about the nvidia side of thing but can't think it'd be that bad. Worth trying the on-board audio again? I've got a realtek chip as well with again no problems. (not helping much am I :p)

yeah i know ive got at least another half a sec in me as every hot lap ive done has had mistakes in it, ive got a good setup off stuart whitehead who was flying around there he even gave us a walk through, he was in the 12's...
 
Today was the first time I drove my car since getting iracing and omg it feels weird lol. I can't get over how bumpy the roads are and how big the steering wheel is. Oh well, time for more iracing :D

do yourself a favour and use the eyfinity on that 7970...
 
I would absolutely love eyefinity but I use a Dell U2711 27 inch monitor and they are expensive. Dont think I have the space for 3 of them anyway :p. I am addicted I think. I dont usually play games this late at night but I will be on iracing until 12 probably :)

you say that now lol. thats what i said now ive got 3 120hz monitors...
 
It is doable I suppose but not yet haha. 2 more monitors would mean I would need another 7970. So thats £1600. The next thing I will buy soon is a Logitech G27. I have a driving force gt atm and its good, but I want a better pedal set and one with a clutch.

Plus this game is expensive to play, I have loads of tracks to buy for the Radical series lol.

i went from a DFGT to a g27 tbh the wheel feel about the same but as you said the pedals are much better...i do love the paddles tho...

SKILL im getting faster 1.14.4 now...looking forward to the races...
 
nice time, I'm looking forward to the races as well, happy with my times so just need to get consistent in the low 14's/high 13's over a race distance.

Although quite tempted to do the 2.4 hours of daytona (and the 'roar before the 2.4') special races as well which will suck up a fair bit of the weekend...

And I also have a mad idea to do both Daytona 500's, second one is easy starting at 23:00, but the first one starts at 1:30am on a friday morning, gonna be fun trying to fit that around work :p
 
Really need to get back into this, first i need a new wheel, ive bodged my old g25 so many times its just not working correctly anymore lol But in the same light i cant justify the price of a G27 or Fanatec, and i wish i could afford the thrustmaster one lol, i subbed for a year with a 50% discount last sepetember and ive probably turned 11 laps since lol.
 
just ordered a wheel stand pro..

i just realized that my monitors are banging into each other when playing iracing...

well done loads of laps and i just cant break into the 1.13's best is a 14 flat...

I wouldn't bother even trying mate tbh..

it's hard enough on wheel and pedals...

just wait and enjoy it how it's ment to be played mate an you will love it...
 
Yeah It would be impossible Id have thought. Im very nearly at 4.0 SR so I need to make a decision. Do I buy the Star Mazda or the Radical. Im not a fan of very high speed f1 style cars so the Radical sounds the best bet. But the Mazda has races every day. I work Friday and Saturday so id only get to race on the Sunday in the Radical.

Should i get the Mazda :)?
