Does the game not do anything to stop that? How come the car could keep the momentum and keep going to the other?

I'm not sure that the Obutto would be 'worth' £350 more, wouldn't it be an option to buy the keyboard tray separately (I think it's about £80ish) and see if it can be engineered into the GT Omega rig?

I use the Obutto and a friend has the GT Omega and I don't think either of us would change.

I do use mine for FPS stuff too and it's no problem, although I use the additional perspex tabletops for my keyboard though, and I have the keyboard tray as a big arm rest/mouse pad. Works well for me and never gives me issues.

Looking at both I think personally I'd still favour the Obutto, it seems more versatile and with the perspex tables etc will allow you more setups etc. On the right perspex table I have my button box mounted on the arm for instance.

Can provide a pic if it helps.

A pic of the keyboard on the table top at the height you use it would be helpful, if you don't mind.

I think I'm leaning back towards the Obutto, especially as it'll only cost a little more than the UK price. It would be less if the banks didn't give such rubbish exchange rates.

Wonder if you can use the Obutto's triple monitor stand with the GT Omega? I guess though you may as well get the Obutto.

On the other hand Fanatecs Rennsport cockpit looks fantastic a shame the price is a little eye watering when you ad in the triple monitor stand.

The Obutto triple stand comes in at around the £200 mark, so you may as well go the full Obutto.

Plus the GT Omega triple stand gets good reviews so there's not much benefit.

Those Obuttos look amazing.

Wondering how much a set up would cost that did both flight and racing...will start my pointless search now I think.

Was looking at Obutto's EU store and saw their triple stand for 99 euro's

Obutto it is then I think :)

I think €99 is for the arms that attach to the monitor stand that comes with the Obutto Revolution.

To buy the full triple screen stand would be another €119 on top of the €99 for the pair of arms.

Assuming you just wanted the complete triple monitor stand as a separate item.

If you buy the Obutto Revolution then you just add €99 for the arms.

If you need any other angles or anything let me know.

I can spend quite a bit of time either doing PS work or playing an FPS no problem. The perspex table is on an arm that moves, I have it tight enough to move when I want to but not all the time.

Edit, I change the tilt a bit too when using it.

It moves a lot nearer, the only way to lower it is to switch the arm and mount it upside down. That might lower it 2-3 inches.

In that case I think it would be too high for me to be comfortable.

Swaying back towards the GT Omega.

The Obutto Revolution with the triple screen mounts and table tops is £800 delivered from the EU store.

The GT Omega is £439

I am genuinely stuck as to which one to buy.

Are you guys getting problems accessing the Obutto eu and uk sites? I'm getting https certificate errors and not getting most of the pictures.

UK site has been down for a month.

I had problems last night with EU site regarding its certificate.

I think I've decided to go for the Obutto Revolution, I've just successfully applied for a Halifax Clarity Card, which means no fees and fair exchange rate. It makes buying what I want £110 cheaper than using any of my other credit or debit cards.

Thanks for the reply, but doesn't give me a warm feeling about the company's well being with all these problems. I like the concept though.

The problem is stock.

Apparently they've had unprecedented demand that they just weren't ready for. Since it's all manufactured in China, the lead times would be quite long between placing an order for a manufacturing run, produced bing them, getting them to port and the container arriving from China. The extra demand has meant that as soon as a container arrives it just about covers existing orders and they're out of stock again.

I was also told be Leo from GT Omega, who is also the Obutto UK distributor , that the Chinese Spring celebrations haven't helped either.

The Obutto distributor is the USA won't have stock until May, the EU is early April and I can get an answer as to when the UK will have any.

It's the same with Fanatec's new V2 Club Sport Wheel base, that's not going to be available until May either.

Finally had an email back from Leo at GT Omega/Obutto.

Hi Mark,

I should be getting an update end of this week on the ETA for the new Obutto stock.
but it most likely be end of April.

if your looking for a Cockpit for Racing, Gaming and as a Workstation. then the Obutto R3V would be the best choice.
as the Keyboard tray for the GT Omega isn't large enough to play PC games on.
the keyboard V2 are the same ones that goes with the GT Omega PRO Supreme cockpits.
we don't have another keyboard option at the moment for the GT Omega PRO cockpits. sorry.

Kind Regards
Leo

As soon as my Halifax Clarity card arrives, I'll be ordering an Obutto Revolution from the EU site.

I reckon it'll cost £682 for the Obutto, the table tops and the triple screen arms including delivery. I think that's cheaper than the UK prices based on Master cards exchange rate on the Halifax Clarity card as of 6/3/15
