Really am loving Bathurst in the skippy - my most successful track to date, with a 1st, 2nd and two 3rd's yesterday. Ahem, wont talk about the 16th when some **** totalled half the field in first corner.

Managed a net gain of ~300 ir, taking me to 1542 and an sr of C 4.99. Cant be long before moving into B class?

Bathurst really is a track with lots of ir to be gained through sensible, long term tactics - dont fight the fight with idiots as they will walk off the cliff themselves. I have a mission - going to try take my ir to 2k before end of week.
 
Well done howler, I'm only halfway through your video but looks like you're having a good run so far! Huge gap from 4th back, what sort of times were you running?

Grumpybeard, well done! Great start to the week!! Does the Skippy count towards your MPR? Is, where you select race/time trial/practice does it show green or red? I thought you got automatically bumped up at 4.5 safety.
 
Average lap time of 2.34, fastest was a 2.33 so not hugely fast

Grumpybeard - If you're only running the skip then you won't move up to B class until you run in some C class series in either time trials or races
 
Perhaps because Ive only been racing Skippy? Thisis what I see when I look at MPR stats in my driver career page.

Class C
• You need 4 more Races or 4 more Time Trials in your
license class or above.
• Your SR is above 3.0.
• NOT ready for promotion.


So perhaps in new build when Im thinking about running GT3 (prob Audi R8) or FR2.0 in addition to skippy, tis should take me up a license class? Thanks.

I was thinking for doing BES as well given that the schedules for BSS and BES are aligned now

I agree that it doesn't matter much for BSS etc

Schedule looks good for next season, what car do you plan on running MarkeR?
 
Was thinking about the Merc, but probably going to be too similiar to the BMW. So gonna go Audi hopefully, if not I'll stick to the BMW.

I suppose we could do BES as a team, in fact I don't think I could drive for 4 hours anyway.

BES is 3 hours isn't it? Or did they change the race lengths?

I was really enjoying the McLaren this season, I could never quite get the grip I wanted out of the BMW even with the fixed dampers whereas the McLaren seemed to allow you to get on the throttle nice and early. Maybe because the weight bias is further back
 
I would definitely be interested (provisionally) thanks for asking :)

I have to sit down and look over what dates I can actually make and try both cars before I knew which I liked most but I would definitely be up for it. I've never been that fast in GT3 cars but I like to think I'm a decent safe driver :)

On a closer note, if anyone fancies trying to find a time Sunday (outside of the Rugby!) to try and get into the same split for a Skippy race I would love to have a bash at one up the mountain :)

I think you'd be fine in GT3, I doubt I could commit to every weekend or anything like that but maybe we could just pick and chose the races we do

You can now pre-order the fr2.0, r8 and merc and you'll be able to drive them offline while the updates take place next week
 
I have no idea but I'm intrigued about 3x PS4's! (or 3's if that's what they are!)

Finally got my iFlag working properly all mounted in the case, just need to decide where to mount it but what a great idea that was :)
