I really want to get into the nascar series but I have to drive this horrible Legends car until i get 3.0 SR. :(.

You said that you want an Obutto, they look really good but upon ordering its around 1-2 months for delivery isnt it? Wouldnt a playseat or something else be better? (dont you go and sell the idea of an obutto to me now... :p)

no playseat wouldnt do for me as my gaming rig is for all games fps rpg and racing so i need a all in 1. so the obutto is spot on as it has a keyboard mouse tray and everybody says they are awesome...

not happy joined the 9.30gmt race 26 on the grid, i started 19th some body around 5th/6th lost it off the line span caused somebody to hit him so i slow down to avoid, bang rammed from behind, nearly 20mins in the pits...idiots no apology...

Not really Dureth. I race in the Star Mazda series and its fairly good. Im in division 7 which is crap, but ive been working on my SR and sacrificing my irating. Im sure the other divisions are even better.

Rookie races are so easy now :p, a lot of the drivers are awful..

I thought it was streetstocks first on the oval side?

Either way, it's always been a bit of a mess, I think I did a fair few TT's back in the day to get to the Late Models which are significantly cleaner.

Personally I prefer the LM/SK level (Class D), the NASCAR cars are ok but far too many people who think they're gods gift and it just seems far more messy, plus I'm not as good comparatively :p
 
man alive that was the worst race ive had all week, ah well...

nah the radical is normally good clean racing and if owt does happen its just an accident...

except that last race for me turns out some body nevr set of so he got rammed causing me to get rammed...
 
You're probably right it's the 1930s thing that I'm driving. I've done 2 tts and haven't gotten any sr from them. I didn't have any incidents too..? Very frustrating :p. if it doesn't improve I will just carry on with my road license. What is your guys irating? Mine is only a 1000 ish :/

mine is Joshua Harley, both oval and road iRating is around the 3000 mark :)

2 TT's should give you a small amount of SR, not much though, although thinking about it by TT do you mean just the 4 laps or the full 30 minute session?
 
1600ish now when i moved out from rookie races i dropped to 800 so ive been on a mission trying to get it back up, 2000 is my goal...im not doing too bad atm.

I did just the 10 laps but I always do the minimum on the road tts and gain sr. I will try a full session tomorrow then :). My name is Andrew Morris.

Definitely do the full session, the licence/SR system is just a wrapper around a "corners per incident" figure, so doing just 20 corners won't really touch it...
 
i wont be doing any racing this weekend coming as im off back up north to see my family and my bro as his off back to afghan...bummer... i dont like racing at silverstone much anyway never have...

andy I got a DFGT for sale aswell, as you know I'm after a race frame/ cockpit and I was reading the playseat isn't very stable, depending on your budget the rseat evo looks the nuts and insidesimracing gave it awesome reviews but it's 400 quid...

I'm pretty set on the obutto it's a perfect all rounder for me but if I could find away to use the rseat evo for every thing I would buy that...
 
Hmm where did you read about the playseat not being stable. The rseat evo looks amazing :o! I also use my pc for all sorts of games. I will just need a new desk so that the pedal bit of the seat can go underneath and then put my keyboard somewhere else.

In my head it seems to be doable. I think I might have to wait a while to afford it though lol

i was just generally reading on the iracing forums and insidesimracing forums mate cant remember the exact threads..

why not just get an obutto or GT omega???
