iRacing

They're still active and working - service is very busy for the last couple weeks. Was in a session with one of the tech support guys, troubleshooting a new build issue earlier this afternoon.

With all the lock down lark, I'm really itching to go back to iRacing, let me know if there's any codes out there to renew subscription. Thanks in advance.

I was playing iracing a bit for the past month but it was just going to work out too expensive in the long run so I bought ACC and it;s fantasic. Only had a quick bash online but seemed like itll be good.

That said, I can't stay away from watching iracing streams on YouTube soo I think I'll be back in a week or two to give it another bash.

I renewed my subscription through Steam this afternoon, Money has come out my bank and game has been installing for a while now but i've just received an email form iRacing saying 'We're sorry you've decided not to renew with us'

Bit odd, I emailed the support team but i imagine i wont hear back from them for a while.

Just renew through iracing webpage, dont even use Steam for the game, it doesnt work well through Steam.

Got back into this and had a few races with the MX5, which doesn't act like a real car, just feels like your on ice all of the time. So moved onto the Skippy's which I'm enjoying, however two races I've done it's just jammed on lap 1 and doesn't progress me from there so i just sit plumb last even though I was in 5th the last race!! Annoying to say the least

Leave the mx5 alone as soon as you can, it's a horrible car to drive now. Skippies are a lot of fun though as is the Cayman GT4 with a nice setup.

Just had a very enjoyable but intense one at Mosport in the Audi R8 GT3 for VRS Sprint. Had it recording also so I'll put in a link once I've done editing tomorrow

That suggests that either your PC can't keep up with the physics thread, or your internet connection is very very unreliable. The post-race results screen will likely be tagging the laps with "discontinuity'.

Turn the in game meters on from the options screen, see if the C-bar goes red. Worth changing the sound options to use the specific device rather than Windows default.

Do the audio thing as a first step, cause it's known to cause C-bar issues. Then start reducing the "max cars" setting if it doesn't help.

There's a bug of sorts around in the latest build - some people had it in a league race last week. One of the iRacing devs was in a hosted session trying to replicate it with us at the weekend.

Some older CPUs struggle to run the newer iRacing builds, but I sincerely hope you're not on an AMD FX!
