cheers lads I don't spend my money on owt else these days and going out on the lash is crap round here so I just spend it on what I want.


but still I don't even want to add up how much it all cost but the experience and pleasure it gives me is worth the money so I'm happy.

just need to make a braket for the frex when it gets here...

Congrats, that looks awesome.. very comfy, for general purpose gaming even too.

Very tempted myself after seeing that, need to weigh up the practicalities of the wife/kids using it when they want to use the PC :eek:

Could always build a basic rig for them :)

the infield at charlotte is pretty bad with the roughness and odd cambers and bumps. cars seem to go super light over crests in iracing i find. super light and into the wall :/
 
the more i lap around Charlotte the more i think im going to drop this week, it just dosent work together for me...racing is going to be soooo messy...


t1 and 2 on lap 1 are gunna be the worst yet, and the pit exit is a joke...
 
Only did a few laps last night, but I see where you're coming from, I'll probably still do at least a couple of races though just to as bankers if nothing else, already dropped 2 of the 4 weeks, although looking at the last 4 weeks it looks fantastic, don't want to miss any of those :p
 
aye all the rest of the races are spot on really looking forward to them.

did you get wheel damage at all when joining tho oval section? Ive dialled it out of my set for the most part but it still happens now and then but that's a worry aswell, I'll have at least 1 race to test the water, it could turn out to be a cracker...
 
Didn't do that many laps but no wheel damage, I was quite slow though so that might've helped me get off with some of the attempts. That was using both yours and Kat's setups.

In the skippy at least the races were both great fun and occasionally annoying, because of the huge straight and the draft you end up with packs and lots of overtaking. The annoying bit comes from the fact you need to put in a really good lap to break the draft and get away from someone, so someone 'slower' than you can slow you down/beat you because you can't break them.
 
try Robert hopes q set mate it's good and fast but stiff, I'm slightly faster with it but I find it abit harder to drive than mine...

yeah peeps we're saying with draft there's about .4 of a second difference a lap and it's easy to catch up...

I noticed Paypal is skimming 3% on the currency conversion on dollar payments, not sure thats stated in the fees.


Nice setup Graveyard. Only thing is Im never comfortable without lumbar support and fully adjustable angle to the chair back, Im fussy like that :p

That's the plan, not sure when though, was off work ill today and feeling a bit better now but not gonna race tonight, might do some practice though, will see how I feel across the weekend.

think im just going to do 1 race as the wheel damage thing is annoying me...
 
well...i joined the 9.30gmt 9 of us joined so first official race of the weekend, started on pole, got away nice then 2nd lap joining the oval WHEEL DAMAGE[knew id do it], luckily only a 45 sec fix the car was drivable but was pulling to the right.

i went on to spin a further twice but manage to catch the spin, finished 3rd but i was driving like fanny when joining the oval...

enjoyed the race bar joining the oval...

next week will be busy again with it being suzuka i reckon...

i got 2 or 3 places back from peeps doing what i did, but i was quicker than most on the infield so i was catching once i adjusted to driving the car with it pulling to the right abit...

yep suzuka is gunna be awesome, gunna spend some proper time around here, yep 1s section is awesome T1 can make or brake a lap aswell. it will take me a while to master it in the radical as its a longer lap than we have been running...
 
Just did some more Charlotte practice, still not quick with a best of 1:06.197 but a bit more consistant now.

Was using the Robert Hope Q1 setup, first did 3 or so laps with low fuel and then filled it up with fuel and did 11 laps, which ended with my only wheel damage when I lost it up into the wall at the start of the oval :p

I did find with his setup that the balance was screwy with full fuel, went from oversteery to horrible understeer on a lap by lap basis, made it a bit interesting, think I'll try dropping the pressure next time...

i used his set aswell in the end, the balance was abit off and it wasnt kind on it tyres towards the end i was braking early for the last 10 or 15 laps...

i think the wheel damage thing is my driving style aswell that dosent help...

my pb is 1.04.191 that was with a slight draft around the last corner to the line...
