iRacing

I could be wrong as I haven't tried the spec racer on the ntm (I think it got it last build?) but beforehand there were very similar, both very tail happy under braking, but that's what I love about them :p

Well at D Class you have 3 options (other than the stock cars):
VW Jetta TDI (with the MX-5 in multi-class)
Mustang
Skippy

Skippy as mentioned is probably quite similar to the spec racer so maybe not for you.
Mustang is kinda good fun, been a while since I drove it but it understeered a far bit but you could provoke it into nice controllable oversteer. I prefer a 'pointy' front end so not really for me but can be good to drive occasionally.
Jetta TDI - dog, avoid, horrible, nasty. Well I guess a simpler way of putting that could be FWD and Diesel, in a race car, seriously? Hateful hateful thing :p

I'm getting better times each time I drive the mx5, really loving this game.

shame there's some idiots that still ram you off for no reason but that don't happen in every race so I think the safety rating is a good thing as its some of if not the best multiplayer racing I've played...

Really gonna have a good go at this today, first time using a decent wheel ever and using a proper sim so it feels so strange. Used to need for speed where you can just run full speed round corners :L

Really good feedback from the car on this

What settings do folk use for the mx5s with a g27? Could do with some pointers on it :)

I take it you're not taking part in the BTDC then :p

This game is owning my *** but I love it.

Well worth the subs for the joy it brings :)

Have requested an rF2 refund too

Excellent, new converts \o/

G27 settings should be the same as the G25, and off the top of my head,
In the profiler set:
Strength - 100-105%
Spring and Damper to 0%
Centering spring checked but at 0% (although I use 20-25% as personal preference)
Rotation to 900 degrees,

Then in sim calibrate normally and set the FFB level to taste, I have mine quite low at around the 8-12 mark, but it depends on car and taste.

The sim will sort out the rotation beyond that, so cars <900 degrees rotation will be 1:1 throughout the entire range (it will keep turning which does irritate some people but I rarely get to that much lock whilst racing :p), if the car has >900 degrees rotation then it will go non-linear near the end of the wheels travel, which again you probably won't get to during normal driving.

Cheers dude, gonna give that a try just now

I'm using the settings SKILL posted and they work great. I'm using 105% strength since it helps get rid of the FFB dead zone in the centre of the wheel that I found it had on 100%. I then change the FFB strength in game depending on the car / track I'm racing on.

yeah mine setting were more or less the same as skills bar the rotation which I've got at 270..

they work well on most games I play...

I can't manage 270*, far too twitchy for me!

Lowest I've had it is 330 - and that's for F1 / LMP

The Radical for iRacing seems to set itself automatically and all cars seem to adjust themselves to a "900*" rotation... so that it feels right for that car.
