Mine with no AA.... Not bad for a £350 single GPU :)

Didn't someone Quote a site somewhere that 2gb was not enough for BF4 on ultra settings 4x msaa ect.
As i 670 2gb owner i was very unhappy with the card using 1948 mb of its 2048mb memory on ultra settings and playing very well indeed.

Scaremongering or gullibility on the readers ;)

Generally it doesn't but Hitmans engine is very heavy on the VRAM with AA on.

Just run the benchmark with plain 4xMSAA ( MLAA and TrSSAA turned on in CCC, didn't realize I had MLAA on also. )

Min - 46fps
Avg _ 55fps

I have seen it for years Ian. I remember being told that my 2GB 680 wouldn't have enough VRAM for 1080P because a 7970 was using 2700mb of it. I played it fully maxed at 5760x1080 for months and months with no issues. I had Aero disabled, which freed up a chunk of VRAM but never once did I run out.

Games are more VRAM intensive in some situations though, like FarCry 3 with max MSAA would see me use more than 2GB at 5760x1080 and I am sure that others like Crysis 3/BF4 etc would do the same.

What I am not sure of is what games are coming out in 2014 that people think will start to breach 2GB at 1080P? From what I can see, GTA V will probably (if GTA IV is anything to go by) and possibly The Witcher 3? I am purely guessing though.

Well I thought it was about not having enough VRAM and not about who is faster. You also have to compare in game settings, as adding modifications isn't what 99% of people do.

@ Kaap, I am 10fps difference between 8XMSAA and 0XMSAA at 1440P. CPU bottlenecked for sure. I need Mantle :p

I would say the fact his minimums are so **** poor low with MSAA enabled ( And overclocking does nothing for them ) is a nod to the VRAM limit on the 690.
