Is 8GB of Vram enough for the 3070

I agree with you but do you suppose everyone who does this has an emotional connection to a company?

Let us consider that there are only 2 GPU manufacturers delivering GPU's of this caliber and the situation upon the person individually.

A hobby I would assume if gaming or a need in terms of work, depends on the persons needs.

Emotions running free with zero direction are for kids and disgruntled teens.

We can definitely see a personal preference effect when say a GPU does not deliver stable performance at stock and it is widely known as a problem with the brands drivers, vs someone just favoring because they bought it.

The person may switch sides for a stable experience which = subjectively better but also objectively.

This forum is absolutey riddled with Nvidians - that's a fact. It is their religion.

Hopefully as new games are developed they will include better support for SAM, being able to store high res texture packs in vram, for games like Far Cry 6, and then access it via SAM can add a decent performance increase. This video shows an example of a recent increase in SAM performance in one game. Certain reviewers have made a point of not turning SAM on for reviews, which doesn't accurately reflect the performance that AMD cards can achieve, https://youtu.be/5_tPxv8DXd4?t=197

And that relates to what I said how?

Are you saying that most people are happy with their Nvidia purchase?

And if this is the case, why a thread barking about supposed limitations?

Pointless?

Wisdom, has that occurred yet?

And if this is the case, why a thread barking about supposed limitations?

Its somewhat an open ended question (which some fail to grasp - "is..x.. enough..?") but I agree that why people ask it and expect it to not spiral into silly nonsense tit for tat is sadly a common occurrence. There are many threads, either rephrased or skirting around the same question.

Most of it is to incense folk or stir the pot (aka cheffing) so as you mention becomes pointless in the main.

Acting dumb is a speciality or is that just who you are?

Hey everyone who bought Nvidia on here is apparently Jensens wife according to you.

It's definitely a speciality of yours, but you carry on waffling if it makes you feel better!

I also think you're making my point about Nvidians perfectly...

Cheers!

Atleast the game will play though but just means binning RT which I'm sure won't bother some here, the 6500XT however probably won't be able to run the game at all.
