- Is it possible to be too rich?

If I had stupid amount of money I'd be doing everything and anything to make my friends/family life less stressful and more secure so they can enjoy it more :)

Bill Gates has the right idea, that one person can not effectively spend large amounts of money by themselves, so it has to be given to people who do actually know where it is best used. I'd love to be in his position.
This girl doesn't, she thinks her money is best spent by herself on herself, on trinkets which embarrass her in front of the world. There is not a lot to envy in her life.

thats the difference between someone born into a rich family and someone who actually worked for the money.
the world would be a much better place if people like bernie eccelstone made there kids earn a living before giving them vast sums of money.

would it really of hurt her to make her to work as a nurse , a charity worker etc for a couple of years before giving her all these millions?

shes been spoilt all her life and its all she knows i doubt she knows the value of anything because it all came so easy to her.
 
I've got much respect for people who come by a lot of money due to their own hard work. They earned it and they can spend it how they please. However I do dislike people who come by lots of money, either through their parents or whatever, and ***** it on stupidly overpriced stuff. No bottle of champagne is worth that much money. It has been produced and priced as such solely to target people like her with no sense of worth. Just a total lack of grounding which is a nasty trait to possess.

Nail on the head.

The people who are rich through their own hard work are very smart with money - otherwise they wouldn't be in that position.

The problem comes with the people who get it handed to them on a plate (either through inheritance or lottery wins etc.), who haven't known a moment of real stress or hard work in their lives.
 
My old mate, who i got back in touch with pays £300 tax a day. When he visited me last year he even gave me a cheque for £10,000 out of the blue. He now lives and works in London.

Anyway on Facebook he is a complete arse. He's always boasting how much he earns , cars/houses/yachts he's bought. And then there's the women who hang around with him because of the money he earns. He's demeaning to people and calls anyone who has a point of view a communist or a pleb.

His latest Facebook update goes "... It has been said today that I am God's representative here on Earth Forget your false gods!!! I'm here... Believe and I shall set you free ;)"

He's just a lad who grew up in a small 2 bedroomed council house , but he doesn't mention that on Facebook. He is an idiot , but a rich idiot :rolleyes:

He's my old mate and i'm not dishing him . It's just he puts things on Facebook and seems to get off on peoples reactions. Outside Facebook he's just the same as when i knocked around with him back in the day.

With all his wealth and money you'd think Facebook would the last place he would be .

what does he do that allows him so much cash? also considering he came from a council estate I guess... well fair play I suppose. If hes on facebook doing that thought he's probably got some internal issues and no money can solve that.

That's rubbish!

I think you mean people that are born in to money are the ones who create the problems. I know a lot of people who have worked very very hard in their lives, just as hard as anyone that has become rich and wouldn't begrudge any of them a lottery win or inheritance.

Correct,for some reason people tend to think only the ones with lots of money are the only ones who have worked hard in their lives which is poppycock.
