Is the theme of the OC forum a tad outdated and hard to read

It’s an easy mistake to make but you should opt for classic blue and embrace what you know to be right.

Use your own avatars?! More modern font?!

I’m going to be sick.
I use the classic blue on here because I can’t bare to look at the dark theme :p

Yeah a different font would be nice though this one is acceptable. :)

I liked the dark theme even when the feller who used to do the Firefox themes. Thing is, I returned back to blue as I need colour. The Green feels like an 80s word processor.

The fact that every post isn't littered with adverts and other distractions is perfect and what makes this place easy to read and engaging. I personally have disabled signatures, avatars and a lot of features and it's neat, tidy, and makes using the forum a breeze.

Simple to read, loads fast, easy to use, fabulous content. What's not to like? Best forum on the web by miles.

I do wish people would use spoiler tags around twitter insertions. My only criticism.
tamper monkey or ublock origin to block/modify some page components.
loading embedded twitter/youtube stuff, or over-sized screen captures is just cpu/energy laborious, and takes real estate.
bad enough viewing them on a laptop, but viewing on a mobile must suck.

I had previously replaced utube embeds with tooltips in firefox.

TBH I find this forum one of the easiest to read and navigate (since I ditched the avatars - every other user having the same one messed with my tiny mind)

AVForums is pretty bad for that. As well as many others that has followed that trend. Or worse, they can pop out when scrolling the page on mouseover. Or accidentally clicking them. Text ads.

Just because you’re a delicate flower
Tut tut ;)

I always think of it as being purple, not lilac.

The positive comments in this thread make me feel warm and content. The recent upgrade was effectively a complete rebuild of the older version of Xenforo and although it took a few weeks of tweaking to get things right, I’m pleased we took the time and effort. I’ve been on other forums where they’ve done major updates and then totally ignored the requests of members afterwards.
