Is the theme of the OC forum a tad outdated and hard to read

I wouldn't mind the option for a more modern look in the theme options we currently have, we nearly had it when we got new emojis after the forum upgrade but they didn't last long :(

I'm fine hosting images with free providers like imgur, and I like the dark theme, works well for me.

What other forums are better? Be good to see what I am missing, I hate facebook/twitter/reddit etc, they are harder to read IMO, the layout and attempt to declutter just makes it all disjoint and not easy to follow, or as easy as this place..

To be honest, it feels like forums has been dying quickly since 2012-15? Facebook seemed to be where everyone was or followed their friends. So many popular hardware forums I remember that were once so busy 2001 - 2008 seems to have declined so rapidly.

To think how corporates relied on review sites in the 2000s and now everything is either Facebook/Youtube or influencer related. Look how so many hate the days of the 2000s where you had to read pages on forum sites reviewing hardware. It's all Youtube/Facebook. The diehards still use forums that were their own website of hardware news and reviews but you can see how much it has slowed down. It's all instant society.

This was why I loved the 2000s. You didn't have Youtube and Facebook dominating and the needy subscribe to channels getting rammed down everywhere or doing clickbait things for views of videos and articles.

I really struggle with nested replies,

I really like the OcUK layout, but that might be because I'm old.
Actually, nested replies used to be much more common than this type of forum layout, which became popular in the early 2000s. So you're not that old. ;)

Newsgroups. In Outlook. They were good times back in 1999.

I can't handle Blue/Green theme but I like the black/grey/dark theme - the forum is fine the way it is.

Reddit I'm getting more used to but this is elegant in it's simplicity.

Ban OP pls for even suggesting such a thing.
As per others, for me the layout is very easy to use and attractive. I even like the classic blue theme!

Classic blue is the best. You have to really question the kind of character of a person using any other colour scheme…:p

I tried the dark theme once, and it lasted all of 30 seconds before switching back to blue.
