There's no doubting that there's nuance involved with this very complex topic, but wow, it really has exposed the blatant hypocrisy in our society.

out of those 13K likes on that tweet, how many of them would also "like" if someone wrote the same thing but replaced Russia with Israel. I am guessing mostly none. You are right about double standards.

It’s not ******* genocide stop using words that you clearly don’t understand the meaning of. If it was genocide Israel would be attacking every Arab nation.

How is: country attacks other country, killing innocent civilians. Attacked country retaliates.

The ‘same thing’ as: coming up with a final solution to gas millions of europes Jews.

Honest to god you can’t be this much of a gargantuan moron? Surely?
Ah so because Palestine is not technically a nation it's technically not genocide?

Israel has every right to defend itself from Hamas, but my support stops short of millions of people being made homeless and ethnically cleansing Gaza.

Jeeze , it called a Coup .

And how does that work? Hamas has the population suppressed and are as we've seen quite prepared to carry out barbaric acts - it would need the population to simultaneously decide to act against them, to overcome the risk to individuals, which in reality doesn't happen.

Coups are a fairly rare thing and usually happen when you have an armed force either in resistance or where the military rises up against the government.

What Hamas needs to do is push all the hostages back across the border with an escorts. Perhaps that may gain a concession on supplies and power.
If they really want to protect the people they are supposedly protecting then yes, but unfortunately I don't think they give a **** and it will suit their agenda if lots of innocent Palestinians die.
I wonder how many of the hostages are even still alive to be honest. I wouldn't think any IDF soldiers have much of a chance.

right here is the problem with humanity. you can't even reply to this poster without throwing in unneeded insults. why not just reply saying you disagree with their opinion, without resorting to call them a moron?

Jeeze , it called a Coup , assisted by Israel - and probably the U.S.

People don’t realise how much Jewish money flows through the states.
how do these would be coup organisers get word out to the world, while keeping it covert that they want help to over throw Hamas?

Oh bless you. When you advocate the slaughter of millions because you dont want them to exist
I for one agree with Israel current and future actions

Then yes you are advocating for genocide, just as the Turks did with the Armenians in 1922.

So WHY do you want to kill millions?

Why won't their neighbours help them out? There are very big countries close by that could assist. Egypt and Saudi Arabia for example.
@Troezar Egypt is nearby (share a border) but they have had there fill of Muslim Brotherhood aka Hamas/PIJ/Hezbollah so there sympathies don't exactly lie in that direction. SA is far, far away. Jordan is also not exactly close by either. Nor is Lebanon which in any case is run by Hezbollah who are mostly Shia and we know about that little feud.

The Palestinians have been left out to dry...partially because they have, in the past in Lebanon and Jordan tended to outstay their welcome when they have tried to effect coups or meddle in internal affairs or make a general nuisance of themselves.

Egypy has opened the Rafah border in the past during previous Israeli expeditions in Gaza. Perhaps, this time, even they feel that enough is enough and Hamas has gone too far.

Good talk with Bret Weinstein

The goal of terrorism is to make your opponent hurt themselves.

Israel has been put in a trap and they are now walking a tightrope of dealing with Hamas without hurting themselves.
