Iran is supplying Russia as well. One Ukraine kick Russia out and Israel flatten Gaza, Iran might find itself fighting 2 conflicts against powerful but very different enemies

They've said they're in a 'state of war'. The official declaration of full scale war will be at 11am our time, which will probably signal the start of massive retaliation.

Both sides are as bad as each other.
A couple of British national brothers, currently living out there, just called into LBC saying the reports in the UK media are a fraction of what is actually happening. According them Hamas are storming people's homes and killing hundreds of Israeli civilians in their homes and in the streets.

Most of if not all casualties have been in the illegally occupied territory of sderot.

Calm down, nobody's saying anyone deserves any of this.
It's an awful situation that's been going on for longer than any of us have been alive and I suspect will be going on long after we've all carked it.

Because history is littered with instances where overwhelming military superiority was used to effectively eliminate a guerrila force. They'll kill some Hamas fighters, but for every civilian they kill in the process they'll recruit 3 more. Cycle continues.
As long as Israel illegally occupies and oppresses the Palestinians, they will fight back. The whole sorry mess is bad people doing bad things on all sides, but carrying on doing the same thing over, and over again.....yeah sure *this time* Isreal are going to 'win' and the bloodshed will be over
