Israel/Palestine Shenanigans

I say leave them to it, they deserve each other. Two sides that cant and probably wont ever get on. The west will only back israel as long as theres oil in the middle east. Israel despite it's small size is able to keep the peace in that part of the world which in turn benefits us in the western world.

Once the oil in that part of the world runs out, the western powers will dissapear and leave them all to their sectarian warfare. My brother lives in israel, north of haifa and theyve had a few rocket attacks this week but apparently thats an annual thing. The palestinians run out of weapons, appeal for international aid, aid comes in from various agencys worldwide. It only funds the purchase of more weapons. They fire some more rockets, some young misguided brainwashed dick head blows himself up on a bus, which btw you never see the leaders volunteering for. Israel retaliates and the whole circle continues.

This.

That picture of Israelis watching, clapping and celebrating the bombing of Gaza disgusts me. Whether it's right or wrong, necessary or not to bomb a city, you simply do not celebrate and treat it like entertainment...it's not a movie, that is real people being killed, injured and losing their homes...that's nothing to celebrate, not ever!!

This to be honest.

The probable outcome is that the strong (Israel) kills the weak and perhaps then there'll be peace. I couldn't even begin to imagine what other possible outcome could reign.

Not with continuing deaths on both sides brewing more hatred.

What does supporting the Israeli terrorists gain us?

A strategic toehold in the most violent part of the world and a lot of clever Jews working in science.
Also, sodastream machines.

What does supporting the Palestinian terrorists gain us?

Excellent goat marriage options.

Anyone got any other questions that need answering?

Excellent! Why would a superpower support anyone but Israel in this conflict?

Apart from that Jews hold a great deal of power in Western countries. And every Jew is a citizen of Israel (I'm not sure if that's law, but it's certainly lore)

It's easy for us to sit in the safety of the UK with our predominantly passionless lives, with no strong beliefs or opinions and judge a group of people who believe whole-heartedly that another group is trying to take their God given land and eradicate their families. If that was me and had given my weaker adversary chance after chance after chance to stop aggression, I might have lost my rag big time by now.

While I don't condone the firing of rockets by hammas at civilian targets the Israeli government needs to take a step back stop the indiscriminate bombing, of what is essentially a refugee prison and one of the most densely populated areas of land in the world (Gaza).
A lot of news agency don't even mention that Gaza has been occupation for over 66 years and blockade since 2007. Hamas is refereed to as terrorist organisation it was democratically elected by the Palestinian people.

So far more than 100 Palestinians have been killed, mostly civilians, including at least 23 children. More than 670 have been injured. There have as yet been no Israeli fatalities and the news does not label Israeli as Terrorists?
Israeli government continue to occupy land illegally, build illegal settlements, imprison people illegally (even children), build walls....yet they are not portrayed as terrorists?

When the No.1 Super power (USA) has anything to say about the situatio the white says " Israeli has the right to defend it self" Well I don't see how don't see how a occupying force can claim self defence......

Self defence..... yea right more like apartheid

This.

I've been keeping up. Both sides will say they stop, once the other stops. Just needs someone to blink.

Don't get why Hamas are trying to compete with Israel seeing as they have quite a good amount of munitions plus the Iron Dome defence system rendering Gaza's attacks pretty much pointless

There is something funny when you hear about segregation between the Palestines and Jews in Israel...

For example, palestininians are not allowed to live in certain settlements and there have been stories that they practise segregation on the buses.

I think its time they make Palestinians wear "stars" for the full picture.

I don't agree with Israel, but why are Hamas/Palestinian militants preparing and launching rockets from civilian residences and complexes? It's as much their fault as Israel.

I'm afraid that as bad as both sides are, I cannot accept that Israel are the victims here.

But I have personal beliefs which skew my opinions and will pretty much always be pro Arab in this situation.

That said, I have lovely Israeli friends, but unsurprisingly they condemn what their politicians are doing.

However, I'm afraid I will never ever support Israel or forgive their behaviours. I'm sick of being called a terrorist sympathiser for supporting the Arabs, at the same time, I'm sick of being castigated for daring to be anti-Israel.

It's just such a shame this is still going on :( So many innocent lives, wasted.

Which side are you arguing for?
This shows a rocket hitting a civlian building, then a secondary explosion as the weaponary stored by Hammas explodes.
Note the footage is shot by a Israeli drone, presumably to prove they are hitting legitimate military targets

Hah, this is such blatant BS :D

This shows a drone firing a small warning rocket into a building, enough to make a bang. Presumably the cameraman knows exactly where the Israelis intend targeting because he is pointing his camera at exactly that spot, so I'm assuming is is some known Hammas building and he's been pre-warned by the Israelis.
Then a full minute goes by and a plane(?) drops a larger bomb, enough to take down one building.

The Facetard page pretends this is some innocent target!
Then moans about how a full minute is not enough to gather documents and children (in that order), lol.

If someone fired a warning rocket at my house, then I'd have my framed picture of Magnolia's opinion and my cat and be in the next village well before that second rocket hit.

Israelis even telephone people in advance to let them know where the next strike is going to be, that's why news crews get to be already set up with their cameras pointing at the target. Doesn't always work out if they are bombing two targets though, not a lot of places to run to.

It's actually two rockets, a second one follows shortly after. Appears just before 5 seconds.

Because civilian casualties work in their favour. The more Palestinians that get killed by Israeli air strikes the better as far as Hamas is concerned.

Ah, yes, two rockets.
Still a secondary explosion though.

InB4 Palestinian custard factory.

Now for lots of people to keep quoting the same massive post,
only to add "this" or maybe "+1"

It's worse than apartheid - it's ethnic cleansing.
