It didnt take them long - Fans fighting.

Shocked at the lack of security again to be honest. Especially when they should be on a relatively high alert after the last stadium attacks. If they managed to get a flare in a grenade wouldn't have been much more of a push.

I was in Paris for the six nations and even then stadium security was an absolute joke just days after foiled attack plans. A 2 second pat down going through turnstiles was it.

if half of what was said by stand and that channel 4 guy is true the french police and security services have either given up on doing anything or just dont have a handle on any of this.

I am beginning to think that the police have decided **** you lot, you can fight an kill each other, we have got bigger things to worry about, how else can they explain the total lack of policing of all the fans involved in this.

Looks to me like they are not interested unless it involves terrorism.

Not tarring all you leavers with the same brush, but this is the stereotypical image of the knuckle dragging neanderthal leave voter :p

I wouldn't worry - they'll be lucky to get the x in the box - probably just end up unintentionally spoiling their ballot paper instead.

"BREAKING: UEFA have opened up disciplinary proceedings against Russia after the scenes in the stadium after the game against England."

Been charged now:

UEFA are charging Russia but not England after last night, the right thing to do.

Heard that explosion towards the end of the game last night and for a ms was expecting it to be a bomb. Then I thought firework or flare. The swedish commotators didn't even mention it.

And if you look at it that way and think they cannot put an x in a box or will spoil the ballot paper then your just as big an idiot for taking the simpletons view of "it wont matter, they are just knuckle dragging neanderthals".

You spout the same crap as always like some others on here, ****ging off others intelligence or lack of as a reason as to why they are to dumb to know how to vote, yes, the real world works like that.

How have they got into the ground with a flare gun? It may not fire bullets but it is still a gun, how has that got through security considering the heightened security level and so called three security check points to get into the ground.

From what I understand the French police moved in firing tear gas from the off. Which is when everything kicked off, so I think they are as much to blame. If you create a riot setting, your going to get a riot.

They're also facing riots all over France most nights so the French police must be over stretched.

It's their lack of control and overall top level police management that is the failing.

There is some Periscope footage from Stan Collymore where you can see that the youths are all using the alleyways to launch attacks on supporters in the port area. The Police then just fire tear gas into the port area and remain standing there, while the youths retreat back up the alleyways. The Police aren't making an attempt to go after them, or block them or anything.

One thing which is quite noticeable in its absence compared to the UK is a Police helicopter. Any major event in this country or situation typically has one in the air providing video and information to the police commanders. As such, it looks like the Police don't have the overall picture.

That app really comes into its own in situations like this. It's practically all I use my iPad for these days. Stan Collymore had about 12,000 viewers which is the most I've ever seen for a single broadcast.

Far as I am concerned, Russia and England should be kicked out the competition with immediate effect and banned from the 2018 wc as well.

As a friend of someone that is currently in Hospital over there after she, yes SHE was attacked by a large group of foreign football "fans" whilst she was shopping with her England shirt on, I think you need to look a bit more into who is causing the troubles this time around.

I know our fans are no angels, but all the information I'm getting from people I know out there, we are not the ones instigating the large majority of these problems. And my friend in the Hospital, she was definitely not one of them.

Think that might have been a typo, there were some 200,000 viewers on some of his videos.

But you are exactly right, I think thats also why he refused the Channel 4 interview, because he was too busy doing his own reporting to quite a large audience.

Police handled it poorly and inflamed the situation while the actual culprits get away. Anyone saying England should be banned from a tournament needs their head examining.

Reports from journalists on the ground are saying the same, it's hard to see exactly what's happening but it does appear that large groups of Russian 'fans' are attacking more or less everyone they can.

Then the riot police step in and make things worse by launching tear gas at the first sign of any unrest, often at people who aren't involved in any violence.
