It didnt take them long - Fans fighting.

And they are more worried about some terrorist making an attack during the football tournament??

Lol just lol, looks like terrorists should be the least of their worries...it's good ole football hooliganism that they need to put a stop to.

Does not seem like they are doing a good job but them Im no expert

But I remember think it was Germany for World cup the way police handled the trouble was great.

There is approx a month of this tournament left and the future.

Yes, it's all in their jeans. ;)

We could put some medieval spin on it...

2016 Against the Odds: The fight to recapture that land lost in in 1453.

The merry men of England broke out of their castle, the Queen Victoria pub, armed with beer, glasses and chairs but were beaten back by the Black Knights of the French.

Through the white mist a shout drifted towards the French.

"Cry God for Harry, England, and Tear Gas"

Alas nothing more was heard as the outnumbered brave, drunken yeomen of England cried in terror as the French advanced and had to retreat during the night to their last stronghold, O'Malley's Castle...

To be continued... :p

And it is now all kicking off outside the stadium, water cannons and tear gas.

Call the game off and send all nations teams involved home. It is a disgrace.

No wonder terrorists killed so many in France if this is what the French police are like. Russian fans just charged through a police blockade and attacked our fans and the police stood back.

Disqualify the England team i would say. Send them back home as a warning to the fans. Bad behaviour is not acceptable and others would suffer but it would be a tough lesson!

Mark Pougatch just announced that UEFA have released a statement condemning the violence. Yes, thats what we need, strongly worded letters. They'll stop now.

What do you want UEFA to do?

Unfortunately it looks like the French police were completely unprepared for this.

No thats too unfair on 99% of the population. We would be banned forever. We could be banned for 10 years and these knobheads would still kick off again at the first tournament we played in.

Tell them that if it happens again the tournament is getting cancelled.

Never going to happen though, peoples' pockets are getting seriously well lined right now.

EDIT:

I don't know really. Uneducated speculation is uneducated.

Lol, why would they cancel the tournament?

Care to explain that to Welsh fans?

Indeed, have to assume it's a bad joke.

Hopefully they'll be able to find out what people are instigating this violence and throw the book at them. It's pathetic.

Sadly the fact it's cheap to get to France has seemingly meant a lot of the dodgy football hooligans from various poor/rough areas have ended up in one place...

Ah blame the poor, there's enough people with good jobs who go to football every week and have the occasional scrap I promise you

Football hooligans,Got to love em,Get a few points down their neck and they will take on the world.

So stupid,in cases like this they should be arrested and heavily fined for wasting police time.

See my edit, was just the first thing that popped in to my mind.

It's a really sad state of affairs but how would you tackle it? Genuine question for anyone btw, I;d really be interested in what a solution could be, given that this behaviour is about as old as the game itself.
