It looks like the 'real' /affordable RDNA3 + next gen NV desktop launch won't launch until September. Thoughts?

Frankly i'm ready to go now, but what i actually want is the 6750XT, i have been hoping to see this one just drop another £30, maybe £20. because £50 over the 6700XT one is a bit silly.

You're almost there AMD, almost.

Not worth waiting a few weeks for the 7600xt? Might be similar performance but cheaper and newer.

I imagine next week or so we'll have concrete pricing/performance expectations.

I think the 6750XT is probably one of the few decent performing cards that can actually be produced cheaply.

But a little overpriced currently, might as well get a 6800 if paying £450+.

8GB. no thanks.....

And as i said i think the 6000 series pricing has hit rock bottom, i'm sort of itching now because a large dip in the $ vs £ could put those prices back up.

Cheapest RX 6700 XT (new) I've seen is priced at ~£330, so I'm sure these will drop another 10%.

Indeed.

RTX 3080 MSRP $699
RTX 4080 MSRP $1199

That's a 72% premium ($500) for DLSS 3.

I don't agree with the 4080 pricing but come on, take of the amd spectacles for once

- 50% faster relative performance at 4k
- nvenc av1 dual encoders for those who stream
- superior power efficiency thus runs cooler and quieter
- 6gb extra vram

But nah, the only reason people buy ada is for frame generation and nothing else, right....

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect another £50 off current 6000 series prices.

The only thing that may bolster current pricing is releasing comparably poor new cards in the same price bracket. If the 7600XT with 8GB VRAM releases at £300 and performs similarly to a 6700XT we can kiss more price drops goodbye.

Coming to think of it........

$699 / $1199 = 1.716 (72%) right?

TPU:

RTX 3080 67% performance
RTX 4080 100% performance

100% / 67% = 1.49 (49%) oh.... oh dear, wasn't the 4080 one of those GPU's HUB said was better value so its all good? He kept calling the 4070 a $500 + GPU and good value. Its a $600 + GPU, i might have to go back and watch his reviews.

It's my concern too. Its why I made criticisms of the RX7600XT in this thread too(apparently I don't criticise AMD at all). AMD will try and pass of the RX7600XT 8GB improvements using FSR3,etc.

But one ray of hope,is all we seem to be seeing is the RX7600 non-XT being leaked so far.

Well we know this is real, this is Navi 33, 2048 shaders, 128Bit Bus, so 8GB, 4X 2GB IC's.

And i guarantee you that's $379. or more

No we are not sir CAT! We can always just out of the gate use upscaling and compression tweaks.. right!!!

Maybe I need to find where I put that 15" XGA monitor I used to have! I can upscale from 320X240 and not notice any difference!

That's what i'm talking about :(

Don't worry nothing to do with cartel like behaviour. Anyone who complains hates AMD or Nvidia!
