It looks like the 'real' /affordable RDNA3 + next gen NV desktop launch won't launch until September. Thoughts?

- 50% faster relative performance at 4k
- nvenc av1 dual encoders for those who stream
- superior power efficiency thus runs cooler and quieter
- 6gb extra vram

The trouble is these kind of improvements would normally come at a similar price point, not a 1/1 price/performance increase.

AMD technically managed to offer a generational leap at $1000, but then the 6900XT was poor value at MSRP and with the 6950 XT having dropped in price the outlook is the same as with Nvidia, and the 7900XT is terrible (not quite as bad with the price drop, but still a lot higher than we have seen in the past).

Lower down the stack is/will be a ****show on both sides, may be why AMD are holding off on the 7800 XT until they sell through as much 6000 series stock as possible so it isn't embarrassed by them.

I'm trying to hold out for a 50%+ performance gain over my current card at around £600-£700, doesn't look like we'll get close to that this gen.

100% agree.

Problem is when you get the usual lot claiming people are only upgrading for frame generation or even worse, going from a 3080 to a 4090 for only the vram

An 8GB 7600XT at £350-400 would be horrendous but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

If I can get my hands on a 6750XT at £350 or a plain 6800 for as close to £400 as possible I'll jump on them. Either will set me straight for QHD gaming for the foreseeable.

RX 6750XT 8GB for current RX 6700XT money. But it will be better value than the 4060, unless you count DLSS 3 as adding monetary value.

The RX7600XT if running at 3GHZ would be an RX6700XT 8GB. I have a bad feeling Chewy!

I wonder if there could be $50-$100 price cut to the RX 7900 XT coming up?

Those of you that are in the market for a new GPU, would you buy one for £700?
