Italian Grand Prix 2010, Monza Circuit - Race 14/19

The 3-way commentary with Croft, Davidson and Chandhok works really well, so I think they should go with Croft, Davidson, Chandhok and Brundle all commentating together for the race. As silly as it sounds, it would actually be really good!

Four would be too many... Croft way better than Legard in my opinion. Not sure that two or three drivers would be the best though (remember the audience is millions, many who aren't really petrol heads at all and don't care for the technical stuff).

I've always preferd Martin Brundle insight to things for me im glad that he moved over from ITV to BBC. And enjoy the commentary from various people Anthony Davidson , karun chandhok, And Jake has grown on me too. As for EJ and Colthard well dynamic duo :)

Even so i miss Murry

As for Practice 1:

McLaren & Red Bull look strong with Mercedes up our back side with Rosberg & Kubica looking good also!

Come on 12pm :P 2nd Praccy

Interesting results from first practice, wasn't expecting that.

That the McLarens are quick is no surprise, but I wasn't expecting Red Bull to be matching them pretty much exactly for pace or Ferrari to be sitting so far back. Still, first practice and all that.

McLaren are running a large amount of downforce so far this weekend. Spa levels rather than the normal Monza levels.

McLaren aren't even in the top 5 of the speedtrap. Buemi's top so far at 345kph - I think the McLarens were clocking in at something around 325kph

Button is fastest so far.

Hard to complain about balance when there are only 3 corners. I'm sure he will still find time to though ;)

They are looking good if they can run that much wing in comparison to the others with the F duct. They will get much better drive out the corners and have some room to spare to trim some more out.

Mclaren are looking good.

Tim at work via text: "I can't make it to Monza, so can you do me a favour? Can you make up a banner that says 'Felipe, I've just seen Alonso's mum and she's knitting a lovely PULLOVER FOR FERNANDO. Can you confirm you understand.' Thanks."
That is utterly genius.

'Felipe, do you want a pullover for Alonso or a shirt that has a print with 'stay behind me' on it'

McLaren 20kmh slower at the speedtraps
Are they testing to see what kind of laptimes higher downforce gives?

This...

Looking interesting for McLaren as Chandhok was just talking about.

More downforce
Brake later
Carry more speed through the corner
Put the power on earlier
Gain a lot time there that'll prevent you getting overtaken down the straights

Not seen that being tried before at Monza - it's always been minimum wings.

I suspect they will try a low downforce setup this afternoon. Very risky and assumes the drivers make no mistakes and get on the front row.

Vettel was in a bullish mood as he prepared for this weekend's Italian GP and determined to put Spa behind him and revitalise his title challenge.

Vettel being bullish? is that in accordance with the "in a chinashop" definition?

I really don't think it takes a genius to write that out.

Massa was merely following orders and did as he was told by his employers.
Well done for not having a sense of humour. I'm not going to get in a tired argument about the actual incident, I simply thought it was a neatly written topical joke.

Yep more downforce so slower in a straightline but quicker in corners (and the exit on to the straights) and braking much later.
